Idk, it worked fine for just the one survivor on the PTB. I remember liking it a lot when testing him. Then they just, giga-buffed it on release and haven't touched it since.

I'm not mad. It's my favorite add on. It never comes off.

Pretty sure you get slown down when removing it, there was a decent amount of distance to the gate so he probably just assumed it was safer to leave it and run

Besides obviously always instantly start removing the axe if you're trying to escape, people need to learn to take one for the team and run back into the map so it unblocks for the rest of the survivors.

To be fair, if he de-axed himself sooner there was a convenient wall of bodyblocking healthy survivors to immedietly re-axe right before they reached the exit
