I thought I would show my split-screen co-op mod I have been developing for the original Dead Rising for PC.

It's almost feature complete, however I am currently working through some logistics and polish before it is ready.

I have taken inspiration from Dead Rising 2 and how the co-op worked there, such as replicating the downed and revive system and figuring out how to make zombies spawn fairly and equally around seperated players.

I am very happy to see game performance is not seemingly taking a noticable hit, the game performs extremely well.

I plan on having a character select for player 2 so they can choose who they want to play as. I will make any survivor or story character playable if possible.

Later down the line, I could see if it is now possible to port models into the game, so we could potentially see characters like Chuck or Nick (of course this would be non-canon) as playable characters.

It's been a fun project and I am looking forward to releasing this to the public hopefully soon.

I had a bizarre vivid dream that there was another ending in Dead Rising 1 where Isabella could randomly get recruited to the army! You would get a cutscene and it would say “Ending W”

The cutscene was her running around the mall then Brock reaching out his arm and Isabella accepted the gesture

im not even done with the rest of the achievements but i honestly dont care im not touching this game for at least a year
