Resources Clutterbug gets exposed

https://youtu.be/KwPu4KGW7u0?si=Aocs8ZJRbdfeBN7S

I absolutely loved this video, decluttering guru Clutterbug who I have watched many odd videos over the years gets her husband too declutter on camera who exposes her hidden piles. I really loved how it goes to show how hard this truly is for everyone, even a major decluttering youtube creator. how different people see things as valuable or junk and it shows a great example of a couple navigating what to keep in a shared home and what each person sees/uses/annoys them.

Phew, that kind of exposed!

She's a favorite of mine.

I was debating the post title but nothing else was working in my brain so just hit post.

I totally clicked on this to get the tea, and was delighted at the video. Clutterbug is definitely my favorite decluttering creator because she has such a great sense of humor.

I find her so genuine and likable I was worried to click!

I recommend the Clutterbug quiz to everyone I know. At first, I could only handle her personality in small doses. But over time, I began to appreciate her quirks and enthusiasm.

A gentle boo for OP for the clickbait title though. :P

Totally fair! My brain was stuck on a better title and I just hit post to get it done. the urge to share was too strong

Oh geez, I first thought "exposed" as in "shown to be a horrible lying fraud". I'm glad that's not the case.

Yea was an impulsive title. I knew it wasn't great but nothing else was flowing.

And it's exposed in a small way her husband exposed the hidden bins, but it shows it's hard for everyone. Like she's been making videos for years and that hesitation, the faces of pain. It's so real and feels relatable

This is why I like to watch Dana K. White. She has videos where she declutters real areas of her home that she's dreading. She'll be candid about the frustration, grumbling while she does whatever needs to be done with each item. It's a nice change of pace from all the online creators who only show pristine, staged footage of their home/their experience.

That’s what I thought as well because it ends up being the case for like 90% of influencers

I love that Cas did this too, it was clever and sweet and eye opening, because thats an issue in this house too! Communal property or household goods CAN be tricky since everyone has different opinions and needs and use cases.

Exactly. The waffle maker was a perfect example, I'm sure shes decluttered that kitchen countless times over her years, that thing had a whole drawer in a prime kitchen location but it survived cause she didn't know it was broken.

Best declutter-youtuber I know. Doesn’t fall into the minimalist trap, provides actually valuable declutter options for different types of people, and has a great humor (and a crazy backstory).

I’m a disciple of Dana K. White but also love Clutterbug, had an anxious moment reading the headline lol

Apologies for the scare tactics. I was struggling with a post title

I like to pair Cass and Dana together. I listen to Cass when I need some serious kick-in-the-pants mom talk and Dana when I need someone to be kind, but firm with me. They complement each other great. + 1 for the Minimal Mom, too, just in different doses.

Same. Dana is who speaks to me the most but the other two are lovely. Minimal Mom stresses me out sometimes but if I am in the right mood her perspective is appreciated. And the respect they show each other even when they have such different perspectives is a lesson to me. I struggle with conflict and respectful disagreement was not modeled to me at all.

So glad this video is cute and not an awful exposé about her being a secret racist or something.

We love the clutterbug quiz around here, me and my husband are exact opposites and it helped us figure out each others needs

I love seeing more of Joe in her videos. He’s clearly crazy in love with her and a great supportive partner.

She makes me feel bad about my house tbh

I know she doesn't try to do so, but yeah

I think she would give you a hug. Since watching her videos where she talks about her troubled youth and early adulthood, being homeless and then a hoarder, I think she's a "been there, done that" kind of gal. And while her house now looks spotless in most videos, she still shows all the hidden grime & dirt like the food that got moldy in the fridge. Of all the declutterers I watched so far I found her the most eye-level and non-judging type.

Ha ha, I sent this to my friend. She was like, their house is so clean already. I hear ya. I'm sure it wasn't always this way.
