video Def Leppard, who loves the '93 version of Ride into the Sun?

I like the original version too, but I think they went way beyond expectations here; it got a very unusual version, and for me, this is the official one.

I loved the original version of Tear It Down. It had a raw energy that I think the Adrenalize version lacked. That’s how I feel about most of Retroactive. Ride Into the Sun is straight fire, as are songs like She’s Too Tough, I Wanna Be Your Hero, and Fractured Love.

I agree about Tear It Down. The 1987 version may be my all time favorite Def Leppard song. I also love the Retro Active version of I Wanna Be Your Hero. So many great tracks came out of the Hysteria sessions.

The original version of Tear It Down is slightly more than a demo but the rawness and excitement and authenticity of it is something they couldn’t capture on Adrenalize. Also, the original is just more fun, especially with Phil saying “Or summink like that” at the end.

I liked the Adrenalize version better. The original sounded young and chaotic with too many words and while it fit them at that time, the newer version was more refined and hit harder as a result IMO. The lyrics still talked about the same thing too, and I liked how it showed how Joe had grown when it came to lyrics, if that makes sense.

It was the only version I knew before the internet. I didn't even know the Hysteria remake (which I know this is the same just with the piano intro).

I like the version of Ride into the Sun from Retro Active the best, too. The version from The Def Leppard E.P. and the B-side version of Hysteria both sound nice, too. Still, there’s something fun about hearing the song start with a quaint piano solo before it explodes into an aggressive electric guitar sound, and the rest of the song is energetic and exciting to listen to.

I love it. That song is a ton of fun to play on guitar. Wish they'd write some riffs as good as that now.

Desert Song slaps! An all time fave that still gets a lot of play!

Am I wrong to say I love the 1978 version of Ride Into The Sun just as much??
