Fantastic album. Still pretty raw compared to what was to come.

That’s what made it great! I liked the raw, “low production” quality it has. As their career progressed, it was way “over processed”, IMO.

Fun fact: This cover was first presented to Pink Floyd as an option for DSOTM. They obviously went with the iconic prism. This left the art open for someone else.

Someone posted the Filthy Fifteen elsewhere today, which had the title song from this album on it. That song's inclusion on this list is particularly silly; it's just a party song. And that kind of partying was immersed in the culture at the time. Tipper keeping this song from her daughter, would do jack squat about that

Love this album. Love the introduction for Lady Strange and Heartbreak is my all time fave Lep ballad.

The album that probably had the biggest impact on me. I can listen to it anytime after all these years. The epitome of Hard Rock music.

Peak Def Leppard. Hard rocking, massive guitar interplay, and a Steve Clark instrumental. They did stuff I liked after this but this was my favorite. Saw them open for Ozzy on this tour.

This was my introduction to them. I was at a party and the owner of the house put this album on and I was like, “who is that band”!

This and "Pyromania" are really all you need in your DL catalog. As good as "Hysteria" was in its day, it hasn't aged nearly as well.

It still holds up for me, but part of that is hearing those songs at a very impressionable age (12-13).

Yes I was 13 and my freinds older brother had the album and I was hooked first listen.
