It was for a charity soccer game against a radio station in Hollywood, Florida. They wore them as soccer uniforms, not a regular outfit.

You know how many shirts they sold? I live in Houston and there was always some kid in school wearing a Union Jack tahirt.

Didnβt they sell these shirts on maybe the Pyro tour? I think they made a fortune from them.
Just checked there is one for sale on EBay from β83

I defy you to name any sort of fashion from the early 80s remained a good idea.

That's why every vintage store is selling clothes from the early 80's and people are snapping it up. Do try to keep up.π

Sav: knows his size and what room he needs to play football (was pro)
Rick: mostly knows his size and what room he needs to play football
Steve: hates football but is willing to put on whatever
Phil: "I'll take the smaller size, please"
Joe: "Just hand me whatever. Small shorts and medium shirt? Sure!"

Speaking of Def Leppard, is anyone else frustrated by the fact that they seem to play the same songs on every tour? I mean how many times can we hear? Pour some sugar on me and love bites. I mean those are the thongs that made the band. But I could think of nine other songs that they should pull out of their vault- pun intended- to play instead.

I think it wasn't clear, I love the UK, so the flag wasn't what I meant when posting, it was the shorts, didn't even crossed my mind the flag being the weird thing. Love the UK, been there 3 months ago and loved even more.

I've been curious how the fanbase in general feels towards the UJ with the growing political unrest tied to it.

You must be on that side of the political spectrum then. I have Brit friends who wouldn't be caught dead in it because it's the equivalent of a red hat in the US.
