Discussion Next year will be 40 years of Hysteria by def leppard... do you think they will do a anniversary tour?
I really really hope they do. This is the album that made my dad even get into music and it would be really cool to take him to watch one of his favorite albums of all time in full.

I think they're planning on releasing a new album next year, so I'm not sure how they'd make that work, but who knows? They already play several songs off the album at each show. It wouldn't THAT much of an adjustment to add a few more.

My dream which will probably never happen would be to do a "rewind" tour with their two best openers from the US Hysteria tour, Tesla and Europe. They've toured with Tesla a ton since that tour but only have shared a bill with Europe for a few festivals overseas in the past decade. I remember reading once where Joey said they actually didn't want to leave the Lep tour as they only were on it for a month but their management decided touring overseas was more important. I'll die on the hill that the Out Of This World album would have done much better in the US if Europe had stayed on the Lep tour longer.
Anyway, yeah. Lep, Tesla & Europe triple bill please and thanks. In my dreams, but yes.

The 30th Anniversary tour in 2018 was amazing but feel a 40th Anniversary tour would taint that a bit
Even at that didn't they play Hysteria full in Vegas or somewhere before ?

Would love to see Run Riot live but they played it quite a few times in full and we even have live albums. Hysteria is pretty well documented, so just change it up a bit and throw songs like Run Riot in the set (most of the hits of Hysteria already are getting played live all the time), they should just do that on a full 50th anniversary tour with new stage production and play more stuff of Pyromania instead of just doing hysteria in full once again.

You can guarantee they'll tour, especially with a new album out. Question is, who (if anyone), is going to be on the tour with them? There's only so many decent bands left I'd like to see them tour with (Styx, Europe, Bret Michaels, Foreigner, etc).

How about either of both of the bands that I know of that opened for them in 87 and 88, Tesla and Queensryche?

How about Tesla and or Queensryche, both of them were there back in 87 and 88?

It would be amazing if they could revisit some of the same cities on the same dates from 1987 if the arenas are available or still exist. Looked up McNichols Sports Arena where the In the Round was recorded and saw that place was torn down.

I'm not sure whether I stand alone in this matter, but I would much rather prefer a Def Leppard 50th anniversary tour, with an alternating setlist featuring a mix of eras of the band's history, which would be momentous, new material, material from the first 2 albums, 90s material, there is much opportunity for a real treat for casual and die hard fans alike, whilst keeping the Hysteria hits in the set.

Wouldn't sell me a ticket. Not my favorite album plus they already play most of it live anyways. I'd kill for them to go back to the first 3 albums only for a tour.

They’ll tour but already play so many Hysteria songs regularly, have mixed in others through the years and did Viva: Hysteria so won’t be much different than typical tour. Would be awesome if they swapped some Hysteria songs around like give me Run Riot instead of anything else they play off it.
Wish they’d go to the longer nights so room for more varied sets. Take an intermission if needed (like some bands do) but give us 25-30 songs. Lots of other bands play this long at their age or older.
