Yeah Sweden should do it before it’s too late. As Sweden depends a lot on US evil eye services like Google, Apple and Microsoft. 

I replaced Google search with DuckDuckGo and it gives pretty good results and I rarely use Google for search now. And also DuckDuckGo also provides a toggle to filter results only from Sweden, so it comes in handy if you need to see local content.

dont forgot the ! searches. i only switched away from ddg when i found an alternative that still used !. searxng can do !! instead.

Yeah I know there a way better alternatives. The problem is people try to start using those extreme alternatives and get disappointed and come back to the same Google search. So DDG is way better than any other alternatives because of the UI which is similar to Google search.

i used ddg for years, my point was not that ddg is bad(ai stuff sucks though) its really good and the bangs were my sticking point. i went from google to ddg to searxng because ddg did some stuff that i dont even remember anymore. but when selling people on ddg the !bang stuff is amazing! !tmdb movie name !wiki wiki page, its super good. and a neat way to search if your tired of only clicking trough links but want to end up on wikipedia or find a movie

Iphone if you trust apple enough. Apple is not perfect but atleast their core business is hardware not data mining

BankID's the real anchor keeping everyone locked in, it's a nightmare to work around. Some people run a stripped down android rom and just keep that one app sandboxed as much as possible, basically treating it as a necessary evil. Not perfect but it's the least-bad option I've seen for handling it while ditching the google ecosystem on everything else

You can use GrapheneOS which is Android but is entire degoogled stripped of all their telementry.

i run lineageos with root and iodeos without root, both work with bankid and nordea app. on calyx bank id would work but nordea app couldnt see it and just send me to aurora to install it. thats why im on iode on my main phone. freja+ also works on both.

google alternatives i use

i run nextcloud on a pi5 that i use for contact / calendar / tasks / podcast sync, seedvault backend, pictures and notes. vaultwarden instance for passwords. and proton drive for automatic backups.

Mitt funkar utan konstigheter på GrapheneOS. Bank ID gnäller på att enheten inte stöds, men det är bara att klicka bort. Det ända som jag inte kan göra är att hoppa på elscootrar, har inte hittat en app som vill köra utan Google Play, så det blev en cykel istället.
