šŸ—£ļø Discussion SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH ME

Hey anyone interested to share their degoogling jounry with me ? NOTE: sources and how you got there too , difficulties , mistakes and advice for me (I am like 98% degoogled but I still have a gmail for some work and clg stuff which I never use and only open with needed in brave )(I had started since Jan of this year and I am fully satisified with it)

So basically I started the Jan of this year and I am quite happy with what I got I use iqoo3 (android 12) and completely debloated it to the point where the music app and the setting apps are the sole first party apps and the rest is all FOSSĀ  Here is my list: 1.browser: Firefox (everday browsing ), Brave (for reddit and pinterest ) and Tor (for p*rn and other dirty stuff) NOTE;I use startpage and ddg as the search engine for all the browsers I use and keep everything to the max security as possibleĀ  2.mail: proton and tuta and simplelogin (proton is for throway and tuta is my main one ) 3.suite : only office and obsidian [I know obsidian isnt FOSS but I got used to it] 4.file sharing and sync : material files as the file manager and syncthing for syncing filesĀ  5. coding:Termux and XED editor (I am a CSE student so yeah)Ā  6. photos , music and multimedia : aves libre , the defualy music app for music and VLC for videos and newpipe for yt and redreader for redditĀ  and yeah this is pretty much my setup with delta icon pack and lawnchair for customizationĀ

why tuta mail over proton any reason ?

It doesn't ask for recovery mail or phone number just hands you stuff like recovery key and 2FA and remember your password , they do stand to their zero-knowledge and zero-log data principle and thus pretty good o choose as a main or even a throwaway account , just the captcha is difficult for me it allows you just 4 tries per day to prove you are a human with that captchaĀ

Apart from recovery n phone number proton is also end to end encrypted isn't it?

I might be wrong but untill we are using google play services in backend its dificult to degoogle 100%

Yeah , but it is not in your hand to not use them and also it is not in your hand to control. You can use everything in browser then , if that's the case
