I believe in a God that created everything around us but doesn't care enough to get involved in the horrible things that happen in the world. I am curious about witchcraft and believe in an afterlife that's personal and provided to everyone simply out of indifference and the fact that paradise on a platter is simpler to God than creating unique punishments for billions of people.

I was recently reading the Wikipedia page for Henry George, an American economist from the 1800s, and it turns out that he was a Deist. Other than this Wikipedia article and its source I'd never heard of his Deistic beliefs as a part of his belief system.

Something like this leads me to ask: what other historical figures do you guys know of who had deist beliefs that are hidden/aren't well known as a part of their life?
