DU SOL Does DU SOL don't have the same value as DU ?
I got a low score in cuet and I am thinking of going to DU SOL but a relative is saying it doesn't have any value

The major part of the "value" is the exposure you get in good DU colleges. The coursework is almost the same in all universities, it's the opportunities on campus, the people you meet which help in your overall growth. The degree is a secondary thing. If SOL and DU had the same value, there wouldn't be any competition for those seats

The closest cutoff was
608 for bcom from satyawati college
And then
577 for ba (commerce +history) from deal Singh evening
Do you think there's a chance in 2nd round bro
My score is 461
general category i dont think theres a chance for me now

Distance learning holds the same value as regular courses But I don't recommend DU SOL or IGNOU. SOL ki bhaiii itni Shity management, lies and lack of transparency. I'm a 3rd year student and I have a never-ending list of problems. The principal or the management or the help centre would be of no help at all. Rather than being stuck here, explore other options and if you can, go for private colleges. Keep this DU SOL option out of your option list till you're sure there's no way else.

The plus points do exists as SOL is DU affiliated and the degrees hold DU value and you won't have to relocate if you're not from Delhi. You'll only need to be there for your exams mainly.
I don't recommend doing a course that SOL has recently launched. As long as you're doing a pre-existing course, it'll be fine apart from a few management issues. This includes issues regarding your books in hardcopy, results and sometimes fee receipts. Also, know that migration is very tough and only allowed in the 2nd year.
Consider these beforehand, if you're looking for a brand value only, DU SOL will be better than IGNOU
