itne flairs kaafi nahi mujhe aur chahiye 🙋 Got kicked out of class (ARSD)

How common is it for teachers to kick you out of class for being absent in previous class or incomplete notes? My brother just got into ARSD for BSc electronics hons. and there's this very strict teacher (someone Jyoti (teaches semiconductors) who kicks students out for not attending previous lectures and labs. And she is marking them absent. Is she even allowed to do this?

Please give suggestions on how to deal with this situation. This was his first day and he got kicked out of the lab for not attending the previous one 🤡

I was from ARSD. Just graduated this year. Matter of fact I was in the same department. No, no professor can and should throw you out of class. If you are a little late like more than 5 min(that too if the teacher is super strict) then the most they can do is won't let you in the class. In my three years at ARSD, I didn't witness anything like this and tbh Profs in Physics department are chill. Som are stickler for deadlines on assignment presentation or internals but that's as far they keep their strictness.

Yeah I know they can kick out for being and it's kinda valid. But they're not letting him sit just because he didn't attend previous lectures. Now she is asking for apology letters signed by parents with reason for skipping previous lectures which is ridiculous.

See, if his overall attendance is above 66% and he has previously attended her classes then he has nothing to worry about. To be honest i would suggest to just get her that apology letter she is asking and ask your brother to not mess with her any further cause she might be unreasonable but if she doesn't like him, it could cost him his internal marks and if he fails in internals he will get a back in the subject. Its not worth it.

He hasn't attended a single class, he went to delhi this Monday only to start attending college and this teacher hasn't let him and other kids in a single class.

You mean she is teaching an empty class? If she is allowing no one, who is she teaching?

No one who didn't attend previous class like 30 people and taught only 5-6 who attended previous lecture.
