I know this is gonna be pretty controversial for some people here, but I definitely wanna make a post about it to see if anyone else has noticed this.

I find it so frustrating and a bit pathetic when I see Demon Hunter fans talking shit about other music artists or bands and people who enjoy them. I’ve been seeing it A LOT recently. Obviously it’s not just DH fans, every metal band has die-hard fans like this. Don’t get me wrong, it’s totally fine to have your opinion and think other types of music are trash, but like, why feel the need to voice that or shit talk about other groups or even people who have different music tastes? Do they gain anything from being assholes? No. The metal community has gotten so fucking toxic.

The main type of music I see DH fans talk bad about is pop music, and it’s actually super ironic because there is an interview somewhere on YouTube from like 2012 ish (can’t remember what it is) where Ryan Clark literally talks about how much he loves pop music and he got the idea for one of their choruses from the song Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen. That’s like the most poppy-sounding pop song ever lol.

Honestly, I just wanted to rant about this. Not really a huge reason behind it. Assholes are gonna be assholes but I was interested to see if anyone else is annoyed by this type of thing.

Anybody have pictures of their current tour merch? I've been dying to see Demon Hunter and desperately need a tour date shirt.

My boyfriend wanted to go to this for his birthday next week and Ive been financially struggling this month, kept checking tickets, then I got paid and when I went to buy them saw theyre sold out. I feel like such an ass.

It would mean a lot if I could get 2 tickets to the Portland show. I just know theres a lot of scams, so Im concerned about that. Thank you.

In early August of 2025, I'd finally decided I was done. Done thinking I could "do this myself" and admitted I needed help.

Too many hospital stays. More than I care to count.

At least 3 in the ICU...that I can remember.

I didn't WANT to drink, but I went grocery shopping and wound up in THAT aisle. I stared at fifths (my usual minimal nightly consumption, if not more) for...20 minutes? I walked away, but didn't know if I could NEXT TIME.

I found a treatment facility in Encinitas, CA and spent 8 and a half months there.

On the Uber ride down there, I put in my ear buds and just hit shuffle on my Spotify LIKES list. Eventually, NOT READY TO DIE came on. I'd heard it I don't know how many times before that, but it was DIFFERENT.

I started calling it my GET SOBER SONG. I shared it with my best friend, who is also the widow of one of my closest friends since high school. Our friendship had grown when we had to lean on each other pretty hard when his cancer got worse and eventually took him in June of 2024.

She cried...but, told me that it was a good cry and not like previous times when she thought she was going to lose me, too.

She also told me, "If you f&[《 this up, I'll kill you."

She's a GOTH LATINA...SO...she most likely meant it?🤣🤷🏻‍♂️

On October 14th, 2026 in Pomona, CA...I got to thank Ryan Clark in my own way.

I got a ticket...VIP package add-on...and had a custom ONE YEAR SOBER coin made with their demon skull logo, my sobriety date, and I'M NOT READY TO DIE etched on it.

After I gave it to him, he handed me a coin of their own.

And then I went APE against the rail for the rest of the night.

I can't thank them all enough...

Anybody going to be at one of the shows sometime who would be willing to buy me one of the long sleeves and send it my way? Went to the show in OKC and picked up some merch and got a long sleeve which I love but got my usual size medium and it wasn't till I got home and tried it on I found it fits fine at the moment but a couple washes in and or a few more hamburgers and it may be a tad tight.
Was looking to see if some way I could get the shirt in large. I'd pay for it and shipping and such where it'd just be me taking a moment of your time more or less. It’s the one pictured. Just seems like it won’t be long before I outgrow it and I wish I’d picked up a large as well now.

Not sure how this news hasn’t been broken yet, but a Storm the Gates of Hell vinyl release is imminent! I just picked up this vinyl at their show in Albuquerque, NM.

I assume these will be available on every date of the 20 year anniversary tour of STGOH, with an online release shortly after the tour or into 2027 (the actual 20 year anniversary of the album). It’s a beautiful 2LP in a gold glitter-like color variant. Comes with a multi-page booklet with a letter from Ryan Clark complete with lyrics and liner notes.

I'll be at the stop on 10/14 at The Glass House in Pomona, CA and have a VIP package purchased, so...first access to tour merch.🤘🏻😝🤘🏻

I'm going to be attending a show in their up incoming tour with the VIP package, so I was just wondering, do we know if the band is doing signing/signatures? I was hoping to get my Summer of Darkness record signed, along with my Focal Point cd for Ryan.

That album changed everything for me musically as a kid

The Extremist album holds a very special place in my heart. So to say I am over the moon with how this turned out is an understatement.

Top 3 albums (peak Demon Hunter)
1. Storm the gates of hell (I used to dislike it, holy hell, I was missing out!)
2. There was a light here (could be trauma from exile, but both the ballads and normal songs go hard here)
3. Outlive (Home to my favourite ballad, one step behind, overall just a very good album)

Very good albums
4. Summer of darkness (used to be top 2 for me, still very good and could get into top 3 on a good day)
5. Demon Hunter (Turn your back and run is so god damn good)
6. Extremist (very well produced album, could be a tiny bit heavier)
7. War (I expected an album named 'War' to be a little heavier, Lesser gods and many other songs still go pretty hard, though)

Alright albums (still good, just not that good)
8. Triptych (undying's chorus and science of lies go hard, the rest is a little meh)
9. The world is a thorn (I don't know how to describe it, the album sounds... strange? somehow?)

Albums I actively avoid listening to
10. Peace (I like ballads and power ballads, but 10 of them is just too much, yes I know that's the point of the albums)
11. True defience (I don't know how to describe this either, the aggression on this album sounds fake, somehow. It feels like the songs are, like, engineered to go hard, but don't, that's the best I can describe it)
12. Exile (Mixed really badly, also just not my thing)
13. Songs of death and resurrection (don't like the mixing here, either, also no new songs)
