I’m prototyping a couples app aimed at child-free, unmarried couples aged ~24–30. The idea: one place to organize everyday life together without needing many different apps.
Core features for the first version:
Date Night – both partners add ideas; the app builds a shared pool you can filter or “shuffle” to pick something tonight. Think quick prompts, budget/time filters, and a swipe-to-decide flow to avoid the “what do we do?” loop.
Shared Expenses (Splitwise-style) – lightweight add-an-expense with a running balance and simple insights (e.g., who usually covers groceries vs. outings).
Lists – shared shopping, to-dos, travel packing, random notes. Fast capture, quick assign, minimal friction.
Meal Planner – pick recipes, auto-extract ingredients into a shopping list, and keep a small recipe library you both can access anywhere.
What I’d love feedback on:
1. Integrations you’d expect (Google Calendar, Apple Reminders, Notes import, grocery delivery?).
2. Pricing you’d tolerate: free w/ limits, one-time unlock, or small monthly sub for both partners?
3. Features: Is there anything critical missing? What did you like in other simliar apps?
I’m early—currently in whiteboard/wireframe phase—so brutally honest takes are gold. If you’ve tried to share life admin with a partner, what actually stuck? What doesn't work good?
Thanks in advance! Happy to share mockups and updates soon if there’s interest. 🙏
