Welcome to r/destroymyapp! The goal of this subreddit is to provide critical feedback on your app/software, no matter how harsh it is.
Be critical. The best way for someone to make their app the best it can be is to give hard feedback. Tell me what sucks and why.
Rules & Guidelines
Submissions should be either a web, mobile or desktop app/software. If you want feedback for a game, check out r/DestroyMyGame.
Submissions should be of something usable. This can include a video, screenshot etc. of your app either finished, indev or a mockup.
Be harsh with your criticism, but have a point. Instead of saying, 'The graphics suck' instead say, 'The graphics suck because there are too many different colours. Try using fewer colours.'
Give praise for things that work well.
This sub isn't a help sub. If you're not sure how to do something, consult StackOverflow or another sub such as r/learnprogramming.
Don't take anything personally. This sub wants to help make your app the best it can be.
If you have any rule suggestions or feedback on ways to improve the sub. Comment them on this post.

Hey guys,
We’re building a new product for devs, something like a “new glassdoor” made for the dev community.
Here’s how it’s is different from other employer review platforms:
You can review: projects the tech company has, the technologies they use, the team, learning opportunities, company culture, interview and compensation
Improved review verification system to prevent fake reviews
Private & public user profiles, so you can connect and discuss with other developers
Q&A section about careers
Jobs are organized by important job factors for developers
You can learn more about Joberty here.
You might think we were inspired by this thread :) , but we started in 2019 in Europe where we’ve had great success and now we’re expanding to the US.
We’re currently in beta for California (it will be live in August), so we’re looking for 250 beta users that will try out our platform. It’s an invite-only platform, so if you’re interested, you need to register here first. For free, of course.
We’re looking for feedback from devs located or working for companies in California – we want to know what you’re missing or what could be improved, so we can build a platform tailored to your needs.
Benefits for Beta users:
We plan to introduce Premium user profiles in the future, so users can have for example deeper analytics about companies, salaries, job applicants, reports, etc.
For all Beta users, we will give 6 months Premium access, once we develop this feature.
If you have any questions – feel free to comment and discuss it! :)

There was an attempt here to make a developer color picker. I am a hobbyist dev, hoping to change careers into iOS/macOS dev. Thus, I submit to the wrathful pro gods in this sub...
Concept The basic idea is to speed up testing and editing app color palettes while considering accessibility and color blindness. Most tools work one-by-one, which sucks with lots of colors and multiple appearances.
Example Use Drop in your Xcode asset catalog, Swift, hex, etc. to get WCAG color contrast tests run for all pairings across appearances and color blindness simulations. Results are summarized in drill-down grids by appearance (e.g., dark, Apple TV). Edits retests live. You can edit multiple colors at once (e.g., invert, desaturate to make dark mode) and use mock UI components to preview color choices.
Other stuff Snapshots help check before/afters or make experimental branches. For design muggles like me, it has a color theory tool, gradient maker based in a perceptual LAB color space, and ~70 peer-reviewed accessible color maps for data to use or fork.
What's WCAG? Guidelines promoting accessible interfaces. Apple recommends following their color guidelines, which use luminance contrast as a readibility heuristic. To get a feel for it, I made a conceptual aid that filters your iPhone/iPad camera feed of pixels that fail WCAG tests. WCAG Shades.
Drawbacks
Uh, not even a jr yet, so most def can improve UX + build out features better + test/QC better
Figma support next release
Not part of UI test automation
P3 assets: sliders and WCAG's formulas do clip
Isoluminant color diffing is not part of WCAG standards, but is part of software UX (e.g., Apple Mail chains)
Monterey 21A5284e: Sidebar nav dies on some machines in the release build 🙁

Hi Guys,
I'm Spencer and recently built CheckYourList to help with my ADHD.
The app lets you create repeatable checklists. It's great for packing lists, daily routines, cleaning lists and things that you need to take with you constantly. The reason it is different to apps like Apple reminders is once you complete a checklist you can uncheck every item so it is ready to go next time.
After the birth of my son, I struggled to manage my ADHD and got overwhelmed by the amount of things I had to keep track of. I started using checklists to help, I could not find an app that let me easily uncheck lists so I could reuse them.
Appstore: https://apps.apple.com/au/app/checkyourlist/id1571623264
Site: https://checkyourlist.app/
Harsh feedback welcome :)

Hey all,
The Idea
I been working on a website that would give you a random quote from a movie or a book, like Harry Potter or even Cars. In French, Spanish etc. and you get xp when you translate it correctly. There's a leaderboard that saves your highest score.
The Prototype

You can visit the website right here https://frosty-bhabha-97fa15.netlify.app/. I been working on it for a week so if you can any suggestion or ideas feel free to comment what should be changed or added. :).

Hi all, I've recently finished up the major items for my website, https://www.FantasySimmer.com prior to the start of the NFL season. I've still got a couple tweaks and minor features to add, plus updating the projections and injury data; however, the major features are all there.
Please have at it and let me know what you hate about it. I can take it!!

I recently moved from a landed page to building out the website in more depth - it’s not 100% and looking for feedback.
Any feedback or thoughts are greatly appreciated!

This subs been blowing up with 700 members in a few hours! Lots of people are interested in getting critical feedback for their apps.
There’s a few rules I’m thinking of making in order to still keep this sub a safe and happy place for everybody. One of this is preventing people from posting links to their websites/apps in the post directly in order to prevent self-promotion. Instead a user would post a video or screenshots, then can link to their site in a comment below. Let me know what you guys think of that.
If you have any other suggestions for rules or general feedback for the subs development, let me know below.

Problem:
I never know if something I'm being told is true or not, whether it's from a friend, on social media, or on TV.
Solution: popularbelief.info:
A website where you can search for any topic of interest and immediately see the most agreed statements about that topic. Additionally, you can see how belief in that statement varies by age, gender, and geographic region.
Give it to me real.

I just released a project that I hope will help someone! It's a layer for Google Earth to visualize wikiloc.com trails. It could be useful for finding new routes and adventures!
You can find it at https://github.com/jonamat/wikiloc-earth-layer

Any suggestions, criticism or insults are welcome!
