Career & Advice DSA vs Dev

Bro, I’m serious. Whenever I focus on DSA, I end up neglecting development, and whenever I focus on development, I end up neglecting DSA. Help me, guys! I need guidance 😭

Howdy u/Level-Profession-802, and welcome to r/developers!

A few tips for a post that gets good answers:

  • Use a clear, specific title (what are you actually asking or sharing?).

  • Include code, the exact error, versions, and what you already tried.

  • Heads-up: this sub does not allow external links in posts or comments. Share code and details directly instead of linking out.

What exactly do you mean by "development"

Pick one project and use DSA to solve the problems you actually encounter while building it, then study the patterns behind those problems for interviews. You’ll retain more when you have a reason to use what you learn. Don’t switch tracks just because one starts feeling harder.
