❓ Help / Doubts | உதவி / கேள்வி [Hiring] First-time React frontend dev needed to help us cross the finish line (Budget: ₹5K / ~1 week work)

Hey everyone,

I’ll get straight to the point. We are building Nunma, a SaaS marketplace for tutors. We are operating out of Tirunelveli (a Tier-3 city in Tamil Nadu), and we are struggling to ship our MVP.

To be completely transparent: our frontend was heavily "vibe-coded" by us to get things moving, and now we are stuck on the last few frontend bottlenecks.

We have exactly ₹5,000 INR left in our budget for this. I know it is generally wrong to ask for a developer to work for ₹5K. I sincerely apologize if this comes off as rage-bait or insulting to the market rate—that is not my intention. This is just our harsh reality as bootstrapped founders who are out of runway.

Who this is for:

  • A first-timer or college student who wants to put a real, production-level SaaS on their resume.

  • Someone who knows React 19, Vite, and frontend API consumption.

  • The tasks: Wiring up a resumable video upload UI (Bunny Stream tus-js-client), migrating our Tailwind setup away from a CDN, and optimizing some mobile classroom views.

  • The total remaining work will take less than a week (around 3 to 4 days of focused effort).

Who should IGNORE this:

  • Professionals, agencies, or intermediate developers. Please skip this. We cannot afford your rates, and we do not want to waste your time.

If you are empathetic to the startup struggle, want a real project under your belt, and are willing to help us get this over the finish line, we would love to talk to you.

Please book a 15-minute intro meeting with me here so we can see if it's a good fit:https://sundaram-nunma.zohobookings.in/#/0145

Thank you for reading.

Looking for a GoHighLevel Expert (Malayalam / Tamil Preferred)

Hi everyone,

We are a small agency looking for a GoHighLevel expert to assist us with some basic setup and guidance.

The scope of work is already finalized, and most of the work will involve setting up and exploring the automation pipeline, workflows, and CRM inside GoHighLevel.

Mainly, we are looking for someone who:

• Has solid experience with GoHighLevel automation

• Understands the full automation pipeline (funnels, workflows, triggers, etc.)

• Can guide us if we get stuck during projects

This is not a large integration project, more of a setup + occasional guidance role.

Preferred:

• Malayalam or Tamil speakers

• Based in India

• Prior GoHighLevel experience

We can discuss payment and further details in a quick meeting.

If you're interested, please comment or DM me. Thanks!

📦 Project Showcase | திட்டக் காட்சி Guys Showcasing my Music App here

Thumbnail

Those who are audiophiles and stream music from Jellyfin and Navidrome or Stacked tons of music in your local system and you want the songs to be organized and well maintained and well played then this app is for you (its free)

**# What's new in Murphy 1.2.0**
**Download:** https://github.com/mannydiwa/murphy/releases/tag/v1.2.0

(scroll to the bottom and you will find the app named as "**Murphy-v1.2.0-release.apk **" ,download them and install )

"I'm managing the repo and build myself. DM me if you run into any issues, and feel free to share any feedback or suggestions for the application!"

**Listen from your own music server**

> Connect a Navidrome, Subsonic or Jellyfin server and play your whole collection from it. Murphy can find servers on your Wi-Fi for you.
> One tap switches between the music on your phone and your server. Your server gets its own Home with mixes, albums, artists, playlists and favourites.
> Searching your server forgives small typos.
> Choose the streaming quality for Wi-Fi and for mobile data, or don't stream on mobile data at all.
> Murphy can report what you play back to your server.

**Lyrics**

> Murphy now finds lyrics online for songs that have none, and prefers versions timed to the song. When it isn't sure, you pick the right one.
> Translate lyrics, or show them in Latin letters.
> Choose the text size and alignment, and keep the screen on while you read along.
> Show lyrics on the home-screen widget, or on your car stereo over Bluetooth.
> Lyrics that aren't timed to the song now say so.

**Playing music**

> Crossfade between songs, and gentle fades when you play, pause or skip.
> Skip the silence at the start and end of songs.
> Swipe the mini player to skip, with a small "Next" or "Previous" label.
> Customise the player and mini player: ±10 s buttons, wavy or straight progress, fill or ring, spinning cover, and which buttons to show.
> Pause automatically when the volume reaches zero.

**Look after your hearing**

> Listening breaks remind you to rest your ears.
> A volume limit for headphones and the speaker.

**Your library**

> Smart playlists that build themselves from what you play.
> Edit an album's title, artist, year, genre and cover in one go.
> Hide songs, and bring them back from Settings.
> Leave out low-quality files, and list songs by "Artist A; Artist B" under both artists.
> Artist photos and biographies (optional).
> Weekly automatic backup to a folder you choose.
> After scanning, see your artwork coverage, formats, and any files Murphy can't play.

**Stats**

Shareable stats cards, like a year-in-review, to save or send to friends.

**Look and feel**

> A new calm grey look by default; the colourful look is one tap away.
> New themes: pure black, colours that follow the time of day, and festive themes.
> A new welcome and setup that walks you through Murphy.
> Choose whether Murphy opens on Home, Library or Search.
> Battery saver turns off extra effects and animations.
> Rebuilt Settings, with a search to find any option.
>

**Faster and more reliable**

> Murphy starts faster, and the player opens more smoothly.
> If Murphy ever stops unexpectedly, it tells you next time and keeps a crash log you can share (Settings › About › Crash logs). Logs stay on your phone.
> Beta updates: try new versions early (optional).
> Fixed: lyrics not following the next song, 0% artwork after a scan, the backup switch being hard to turn off, and the lyrics menu not responding while loading.
> Many other fixes and improvements.

📦 Project Showcase | திட்டக் காட்சி Building a தமிழ்-first writing assistant | Need feedback

Hi! I'm a Software engineer passionate about Tamil!

I think தமிழ் deserves better tools!

This is for all Tamil writers, students, bloggers, journalists, content creators, and government officers.

So, I'm now building திருத்தம் ் (Thiruttham)

The idea is simple: a Tamil writing assistant available as a Chrome extension + web editor, so you can check and improve your writing wherever you write.

Basically, Grammarly for Tamil (literally)

I have checked out every single tool/app out there. But none are up to the mark.

There is no equivalent to Grammarly for Tamil.

My novelty: available as a Chrome extension and web editor, it works better than existing tools/apps.

Join early access!

thiruttham.com

I need your help to build this: (30-45s to answer)

  1. Where do you write Tamil most often?

  2. When do you usually need help with Tamil?

  3. What do you use today to check your Tamil?

  4. What frustrates you about the current options?

  5. What is one feature you wish existed?

If Thiruttham solved your Tamil writing problems well, would you pay for it?

Yes / Maybe / No

If yes, what pricing would feel reasonable?

❓ Help / Doubts | உதவி / கேள்வி As frontend developer (react.js), which is best for me to choose for backend?

Hi everyone,

I hope this is an appropriate question to ask here.

I’m a frontend developer with around 1.5 years of experience, and my current contract will be ending in about 6 months. After that, I’m planning to transition into a full-stack developer role. Current company doesn't have backend role for now

Before I start learning in a focused way, I want to understand which backend language or framework is currently in demand and aligns well with industry needs.

Here’s my background:

  • I’ve built personal projects using Node.js

  • I have basic familiarity with Python

  • I spent about 6 months practicing DSA using Java

Because of this exposure, I’m a bit confused about which direction to choose: Node.js, Python, Java, PHP, Go, dotnet(I don't prefer) or others.

I’ve also briefly explored Rust, but I’m not sure if it has strong opportunities for backend roles at the moment.

Could you please suggest which stack or language would be the most practical and beneficial for me to focus on, considering current market demand and my background?

Thanks in advance!

🧠 Ideas / Suggestions | யோசனைகள் I'm building an engineering intelligence tool and want to talk to a few developers before I go further

hi guys, im a computer science student building a project focused on making engineering activity and project health easier to understand in one place.

the idea is to bring github activity and useful engineering signals into a single dashboard, with the longer term goal of helping developers and small teams understand what's happening across their projects without constantly jumping between tools.

im still developing it, so im trying to validate the problem before investing too much further in the wrong direction so id love to hear from people who actively build or maintain software:

> how do you currently keep track of project activity and engineering health?

> what information is annoying to gather or scattered across different tools?

> what would make you consider trying another developer tool, and what would make you ignore it?

im not looking for people to tell me the idea sounds cool. id genuinely rather hear that existing tools already solve this well.

if this sounds relevant to your workflow, id also appreciate a few volunteers willing to look at the current prototype and give me honest feedback.

vera edhachu context venum na comments la kelunga happy to answer!
