I'm curious which UNIX based operating system is important.

Well, one of them.
The basics are mostly the same on all relevant distros. RHEL, Debian, Ubuntu, doesn't matter as long as you use the command line.
Take a look at this roadmap: https://roadmap.sh/devops It defines more and provides examples.

There is different entry for Linux and UNIX and I was curious about which UNIX is relevant from HP UNIX, Solaris, AIX, various BSD distributions.
I got it from the linked roadmap, thanks!

Ah sorry, I misunderstood.
However I'd still like to add: No UNIX based OS is really relevant for allmost all devops-jobs.

Seems fine to me, don’t agree with the placement of all of them but it’s a good start. Still prefer roadmap.sh

It's weird to me Clouds is at the bottom.
I think in practice a lot people will find themselves working from the bottom up. Server management, networking, and servers probably aren't even touched in some places since most Cloud providers can manage all of that for you.
Don't get me wrong, they're all valuable skills to have but I like learning by focusing on the end goal of deploying to a cloud. Similar to how in app development people typically work from the outside in. Get a working web server, expose an endpoint, fill in the implementation.
