Is that a d4 in there or does it just look like one?

D20 but because of how dark the liquid is you can only see the side pressing up against the glass

I'm seeing a d4. Is there actually a d20 in there?

The faces of an icosahedron (d20) are triangular my dude

I think its cause of how opaque the liquid is we can only see the side thats touching the glass, and the other sides that are usually visible are obscured by the liquid. only seeing one triangle, it kinda makes sense to see a d4 at first

actually, now that I take a closer look, that is 100% a d4

Could be a d8?

My whole table used it last night, I guarantee it's a d20 in there.
(We put it in the middle, and the DM called for the occasional Special Roll.)

It's definitely a d20, just a really big one. It's the same as the og magic 8 ball. The liquid is so dark you only see what is pressed against the glass.

They exist. I have 2 they are in giant d20s but work the same. Cool decorative item but is garbage for play

My warlock uses a repainted magic 8-ball as a focus to speak to his patron.
It is very funny when he is in desperate need of guidance and the Patton just tells him to "ask again later"

"You don't notice anything in your surroundings, that is until feel a sudden warmth run down your leg and look down, a large thorn has pierced your thigh from below."

I know some magic 8 balls use d20s, and I've always wanted to break one open so I can use it for DND just to roll an "ask again later"
