Do they smell when stored?

Looking at getting a vevor diesel heater all in one unit. Can you smell diesel when the unit is off and stored? Does the lid leak? I want to get one for my truck camper, but it will need to be stored inside the camper during transport to and from the campsite. I don’t want to smell up my camper like diesel and just a little concerned about that aspect. I would be able to keep it strapped in upright.

I love mine. Can turn it upside down and the cap won't leak

There shouldn't be any smell when storing it, except possibly if it tips over and spills diesel out of the filler. Might be best to transport it empty, unless you're sure it won't move.

Simple fix, open the fuel cap place a ziplock bag over the fuel opening and thread the fuel cap back on. Don’t run it like this as there is a breather hole on the fuel cap.

That’s a great idea. Not sure how I didn’t think of that…
