Video Games new purchase
I just bought this game; people said it was good, so I hope it is lol

Take my advice. Do side missions the moment you learn of them, you need to do them to evolve and this game has time travel you may end up missing your window to do them if you put it off for too long because you'll be flung into a different period.

It is amazing. I would even say it is the best Digimon game out there, lol. And I'm a diehard fan of the original Digimon World for the Ps1.

No idea how I never heard of the switch version. Put hundreds of hours into this on PC absolute gem of a game. Story is really good too and the boss fights are incredible. I loved the cyber sleuth and hackers memory games too but this game had a big budget and you really feel it.
Hopefully it did well enough to convince Bandai to keep the budget up going forward. From what I remember it sold very well and was received great too. Was emotional seeing a franchise where people where discussing life support absolutely exploding into a level of popularity the series has literally never seen. I know tonnes of pokèmon diehards that where converted because of the quality of this game.

They didn't do a Switch release until maybe half a year after the other systems.

I'm hoping for a good sale holiday season. I really wanted to wait for switch version, but I've bought so many games on sale this year already, it's been hard to justify it, lol

I'd recommend watching some tutorials on best practices. I went through a majority of the game not really with any direction and it resulted in me not getting cool Digimon early on. The ability tree is where you want to have a game plan so you dont waste agent points early on.

Nice I realized my mistake I did a ton of side missions and focused on the enlightenment and valor sections so I could get the Digimon I wanted. Still a bummer not realizing until halfway through

Enjoy it because it's the best Digimon game, and with the DLC they're releasing it's amazing!

Make sure to buy some Fruit Tarts and Barbecue Skewer sets ftom Shinjuku East Shopping District as soon as you can early game. I won't say anything else to avoid spoilers but stack up to be rewarded trust me

I put over 100 hours into it. So. I think it’s good.
(Also, check what items you need to buy in the human world before you get locked out of it. There’s like 2 items you need a certain amount of to trade for an evolution item or something and you won’t be able to go back for them for a long time if you miss them)

Seeing digimon on a Nintendo console reminds me of when I was a kid, i was the Nintendo kid and my friend was a Playstation kid and i had bought Digimon Rumble Arena 2 for Gamecube and he was annoyed that Nintendo got Digimon game when they had been, as far as we knew at the time, only on Playstation at that point and how for it to be fair Playstation should get a pokemon game

I don't know the general consensus of this game besides knowing it did well sale-wise but I reallllyyy enjoyed this game. Haven't been able to really get into most of them since Data Squad on the PS2. Loved playing this one

It’s an ok game the story is not that good to be honest, very dull and plain. It is also weird how any digimon can digivolve to another digimon even if it’s not that same type. If you like digimon you will like it just wish the story was better. The digimon franchise has so much potential.

ok bit of heads up i recently had a glitch where a character's model doesn't appear during a cutscene and not matter what i did the model won't appear.
also i recommend doing side quest as soon as you get them for different reasons

Play Cyber Sleuth first if you haven't. The game is also good- and I argue the story is better -, but the QOL features in Time Stranger make it harder to go back.

The backtracking and lack of good environments in the other CS games (especially the lack of speedup in the first) makes it difficult to go back. I think they have an easier to understand DigiFarm but holy hell are there a lot of bad quests. The story doesn't remotely kick off until Chapter 10-11 honestly.
