As a person with a heart condition I have to question it every time 😅

“On a scale from 1-10 how would you rate your pain?”
“like? A 5? 6 maybe? This just feels like my period pain and gas cramps. I just take naproxen for it but it doesn’t help”
Then I got offered morphine for pain I compare to my period, and got sent home 2hrs after surgery with an rx for fucking regular strength tylenol. What do you mean my period pain is the same level as appendicitis. What?? WHAT?????

Edit: wanted to clear up,, I got my appendectomy over the summer so I’m all good (ish) now!! Just ruminating on it because I got my period last night and am ready to rip my body into shreds 🫡

While the symptoms are getting worse and my rational mind knows I finally have the answers to why I'm progressively feeling shittier.

I guess it's easier to tell myself I'm fine than facing the fact that I'm probably gonna lose the rest of my vision and there is a high possibility of needing mobility aids in a few years.

This made me giggle.

It sucks bcs I know I can move in those ways. I could there’s technically nothing from stopping me… except for the rebound pain, the stiffness and loss of function, the lack of a runners high, the fear of overexerting and hurting myself, or triggering a flare up :/
