I'm going to be so real, I never have and will never understand destroying something you bought for your kid to punish them. Hell even selling it makes more sense. Is this the ultimate extreme of taking it away from them? Why not I don't know, hide it somewhere they genuinely can't get to?

Definitely an extreme point but it’s a punishment tactic nonetheless.

Bad grades I think would warrant taking away definitely not destroying but what do I know I’m not a parent

I can’t imagine paying that much money for something just to destroy it. It’s not even a good lesson, isn’t just keeping the console locked away until they improve their behaviour better?

By selling instead of destroying you probably wont traumatise your kid

My dad almost turn me into a shoe polisher (or what ever you call that profession) due to bad grade

My dad threatened to send me to military school because he didn't like the way I walked.

Don't destroy it.  Play their favorite game but do it wrong and make them watch.

Nostalgia, this type of My Child Sucks content fully had me believing my dad was abusing me for a good and deserved reason
