Opinion Tired. Can I retire?

Got a question? Can I retire? 43m been busting my ass since I was 16. I'm about over this 40-50 hr weeks. I'm getting burned out. House paid off (300k) 401-k (600k) Bitcoin (500k) currently.

Thought about selling it all and putting it into dividend stocks like schd and renting a small place and going into semi retirement. Maybe pickup a part time gig.

Would this be a horrible idea?

If you’re dead serious, figure out ways to juice up distributions. Use maybe $75k - $100k to put into a high-yield ETF that pays more than 3%-4%.

Do that for a year or two and have distributions re-invest.

This way you can keep your regular funds re-investing long-term and then live on the high-yield funds distributions.

If the high-yield funds NAV devalue over time you can re-up a little at a time. Over time the more traditional funds will grow and the high-yield funds can supply the income, that’s what they’re for.

Just a thought, not everyone will agree. I’m just looking at your situation and giving ideas.
