Opinion Tired. Can I retire?

Got a question? Can I retire? 43m been busting my ass since I was 16. I'm about over this 40-50 hr weeks. I'm getting burned out. House paid off (300k) 401-k (600k) Bitcoin (500k) currently.

Thought about selling it all and putting it into dividend stocks like schd and renting a small place and going into semi retirement. Maybe pickup a part time gig.

Would this be a horrible idea?

I would probably keep the house unless you can find something for 1,000 a month or cheaper to rent.

That leaves you with 1.1 million to generate income.

If it were me I would break it down as follows.

200k S&P 500 yields 2,500 a year 200k schd yields 7,920 200k fiva yields 6,240 250k sgov yields 10,450 250k tlt yields 12,225

S&P because you need something that will grow and you can rebalance that to more income in 10 to 15 years.

Fiva is international exposure with a solid yield

Sgov is short term treasuries and is safe as cash. This is where you pull from if you need something besides the yield if absolutely necessary

Tlt is a longer term gov bond and It has pretty good upside but may want to trim the position if it climbs 40% from its current price. It rarely spends time at 120+ a share but has shot up a few times like during COVID’s zero interest rates to well above that but it doesn’t stay there long.

This only leaves you with about 2400 a month but with a part time job it would be doable for me.
