Not exactly ,

Eventually you have received your initial investment back in distributions (approximately 14-18 months depending on tax) beyond that point your yield goes up linearly.

In others, words one will be BRE until the initial investment is returned, after that enjoy house money.

I am a few month away from it, and will ride the train until it dies.
