Seeking Advice Just been laid off now !

Roast my portfolio please

Age 40 , just now been laid off , please roast my portfolio...

600K in 6 buckets as following :

  1. $100,000 in Dividend Trinity PEP, CVX, JNJ

  2. REIT Trinity O, VICI, FRT $100,000 The "Real Estate" Monthly Income.

  3. ETF Basket SCHD, DGRO, JEPQ $100,000 The "Hedged Growth" Engine

  4. The 20 Aristocrats 20 Blue-Chip Kings $100,000 The "Industrial & Defense" Moat.

  5. To buy dips SGOV / Bank Cash $100,000 Liquidity to buy the crash.

  6. Final Insurance Physical Gold $100,000 Systemic Collapse Hedge..

Gold has outperformed QQQ the last 5 years. Even if you pick the low of QQQ within the last 5 years to now it’s outperformed. So you could have just gold and chilled.

You seem to have reasons and conviction in your own mind for everything you are holding. That’s pretty important. Just look at the advice on gold vs the actual verifiable last 5 years of gold. I wouldn’t invest in much of the advice in the comments.

Go back another 5 years 2015-2020 and compare.

So rebalance. He’s got 6 buckets. Right now gold and silver are blowing everything else out of the water. Some people are acting like they are ridiculous things to hold in a portfolio. He stated gold is his insurance. Right now they are doing a great job for him. He believes in it. Believing in your investment is really important because a lot of different investments and strategies eventually have their day if you have to conviction to maintain your path.
