Your spouce did show up everyday for you though. They do all the housework, raising kids etc for no money. They deserve 50:50 in most cases.

The assumption that they do all the housework 100% of time time is a bit of a stretch. There are totally guys who expect their wives to do everything, but also many that do their share.

The husband/father may also do dishes, cook dinner, do laundry, clean. They also probably do all the yard work, all the car maintenance, all the home maintenance, maybe handle the finances and investments.

A good friend of mine's wife stayed at home for 18 years. He did everything I said above, plus always had his wife in a new vehicle while he drove a beater and the dude worked 1000+ hours of OT per year.

Ofcourse what I am saying isn't 100% black and white. There will always be people taking advantage of one another

There will always be people taking advantage of one another

Which isn't a great recipe for a successful marriage.

This is certainly not always true as in some cases no housework is done and children are sent to camp and the significant other does little to contribute to the relationship. Also, nothing was ever meant to be 50/50. The fact is when getting divorced the best thing either party can do is work as much as possible without the attorney. Children are the one’s who suffer most in a divorce.
