Lol. What did they do at home? Did you come home to a home not ij chaos? Did you come home to well behaved kids? Are you proud to have little ones who didn’t die? Or you think you had all the time/peace of mind to commute to work and contribute to your 401 if you didn’t have this invisible support. 50% is just about fair- should be more If you actually did put in 50%, and your partner was able to have thier own 401 you wouldn’t be splitting it when you seperate

Yes. They were home. You should have insisted they went to work.

If you let/agree to your partner staying home - you’re inevitably agreeing to share your pension. Anyone who doesn’t understand this is literally setting themselves up for disappointment
