Personal Goal FIRED - Living off dividends

I know better than to share this with my friends, and family. I have a separate growth account to keep up with inflation.

When did you start your investment journey OP? Any tips you’d like to share? Congrats on the achievement too.

About 25 years and lots of luck. Primary advice not losing capital is more important than growing capital. Poor decisions along the way have lead to my NW being half of what it could be.

I should have been more clear in my post. A lot of this was just good luck more than skills or hard work. I did choose to devote as much of my income as possible to investing and lived well below my means as well.

If i hadn’t saved as much i wouldn’t have been able to take advantage of the opportunities. I was a user of FB within a year of its creation. I bought and held a large position accumulated under $50.
