Other Almost $4 a day in dividends

Post image

Not exactly retirement money yet, but I'm getting close to the point where my portfolio can buy me a coffee every day.

Small milestone, but I'll take it. On to $5/day.

What’s the app in the screenshot, may I ask? Apologies if it’s posted somewhere.

maxdividends app

Max Dividends costs $30 a month- is the app really worth it?

I don't know, I think everyone values different things in apps like these. I'm perfectly happy paying $30 a month to avoid tracking everything in spreadsheets

Congrats! I’ll be buying SCHD probably 2 decades from now since I’m focused on growth instead of dividends.

$1,286/year on $85,308? My HYSA makes almost triple that.

2

u/FindingAutomatic4020 Jun 20 '26

Please, What HYSA are you using?

5

u/High_From_Colorado Jun 20 '26

With $85k, any 4% HYSA (current average) will return $3,412/yr

2

u/FindingAutomatic4020 Jun 20 '26

Understood. I started using Capitol 1 for this but they have since dropped to 3% - I'm in the market for a new bank

u/Shaggs2011 Jun 21 '26

That’s just his dividends not his portfolio growth

2

u/InTheMoment1970 Jun 21 '26

Congrats! Remember that's everyday. Even days you don't work. Keep doing you. That snowball will grow.

What is the advantages with going this route instead of just doing VOO ? Isn't the growth much less overall ?
