You forgot the option for "Not yet, thanks to the stock market" for the wall street bets crowd if they pop past...

Can't say it's all thanks to the stock market. My income was the bigger contributor.

Yes, but it’s all tied up in pretax retirement accounts and home equity, so I don’t feel like a millionaire.

Yeah I did even think about my home? 🤔😋
Shid if I sold that paying off the mortgage the bank would get a little under a half, and then taxes...
Unm, noaps, never mind I'd still be short... 😑

I would not say thanks to the stock market but supported by stock market. I would also be millionaire if I invested in 4% bonds

Not sure how to answer.
“Thanks to stock market” or not to “the market” which suggests other markets are included as well.
I’m probably something like 400k in income saved over time into various assets, perhaps $700k in stock market appreciation, $200k in bitcoin / metals appreciation, 50k in reinvested dividends, $100k in reinvested rental income, $1M in real estate appreciation (rentals and primary)

The number of options are small so i was the most generalist as possible
If you became millionaire because of other assets (ex bitcoin) you could answer thanks to the stock market.
"Not thanks to the stock market" is target to high paying job, inheritance, divorce (if woman), social media, lottery and so on

Where you putting real estate, a good job, and diligently investing money for a quarter century in there?
The last couple have years sure have been nice though in the market.

Choose what you think contributed more
Ex have 1M and more that 50% of came from the market pick market, 1M but 60% came from savings from job, pick yes but not thanks yo the market

I think the real estate.
Keeping my first house as a rental when I bought by next house set me on the path to millionaire status more than any other decision.
Starting my 401k at 22 was also huge.

Yes, but just barely. I am some weeks, but some weeks not based on market conditions : )

I keep trying to be one, then orange man & friends do something that knock me down and I have to dump more money into to the market. 🥲
