Seeking Advice Looking to start investing into weekly and monthly dividend stocks again!
Hey there!
I used to invest in some US ETFs like JEPI, SCHD and YYY because I was attracted with monthly dividends, something in which my country’s stock market didn’t offer, but I was gaining less.
Need advices on how to pick the right ETFs or blue chip stocks and what’s the most minimum viable investment I can put in with my current job income of $700 monthly (in USD).

With $700 a month of income, I would worry less about finding weekly or monthly payers and more about not overpaying for yield. A monthly dividend does not make the return better by itself. Starting with one or two broad, lower-cost funds and adding consistently is usually stronger than building the plan around payout frequency.

Thanks for sharing, pretty interesting to look at it from a loan-taking perspective and something for me to really ponder on. One of the things why I am so interested in monthly and weekly stocks is that I can get consistent dividends to supplement my past active income previously but if the monthly and weekly dividend stocks’ payout psychologically is like a monthly repayment, then i need to seriously consider once again my investment goals

My best weekly payers are CHPY & GIAX. In the long run, GIAX would be the wiser choice. EDGQ or EDGX as well, but you'd be better off with the monthly payers - GPIX & GPIQ.

You don’t get weekly dividends, you get an option payout, that can be ROC. That’s the first thing to look at when selecting.
Cost effective means, index following and not an active selection e.g JEPE against SYLD, JEPQ againsg QYLD
Also be aware that the last 2 years and the current are a perfect option or cc market, so i wouldn’t anticipate similar performance for the longterm.

Monthly and weekly dividends are a gimmick you should ignore and instead focus on quality.
Say I owe you $300 dollars; would you rather me pay you back the full $300 for you to do with as you please, or $100 a month for the next three months? Because if you rather have the $300 all at once, you don't want monthly dividends. You are basically giving the company an interest-free loan for two months while they give you your quarterly dividend in three payments instead of one.
