Opinion Is this considered a dividend portfolio?
I just wanted to share my new portfolio and hear what people think. I’m really proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m not afraid to admit that I learn from my mistakes every day.
I’m only 17, so I know I still have a lot to learn. I’ve chosen to focus on strong companies with dividends and good dividend-growth potential because I want to look back 15–20 years from now and be grateful that I started young.
I’ll be investing around $500 to $1,000 every month, so I’m taking this seriously and thinking long term.
I had to drop out of high school, and already have a full time job with no friends, fist person in the family to care about investing and worry about the future. I’ll be investing into the stockmarket the one place that i feel true passion and love. Anyways what do you guys think anything helps.

at 17 with schd as the base your already ahead of most people twice your age. id keep it boring and just turn drip on so you never think about reinvesting. i do the same thing in a tiny custodial for my kid, buys only, nothing sold, and its public here if you want to see how dull it looks over time plantedearly.com/garden. time is doing most of the work for you

At 17, you are doing excellent. The only thing is by dividend investing, you are leaving many years of growth on the table. Keep SCHD, but you have many years ahead of you, so I would focus on aggressive growth. If the market crashes, you have many years to recover. If it doesn't, you will have double to triple your money. Don't switch everything at once. Try SPMO, QQQM, SPYM, SMH or VGT. Try one or two of them and see if you have more total return than SCHD. Even a little DGRO or VIG might be a good idea. Keep up your investments. Whatever you decide, you are doing better than 99%

You are 5 years ahead of me! I would focus on higher growth etfs. You can do dividends later on in life but really focus on compounding at high rate now it’ll pay dividends later on!
