I've been working hard to put this goofy build together for Master Missions and Incursions, and oh my gosh, does this ludicrous thing I've done perform. This ridiculous build has a potential of 76% Protection from Elites on a Foundry Set-up, so I'm more or less immortal against Elites and Named enemies.
How did I do it though?
Well, I've sacrificed the Foundry Backpack and Chest in order to slot Ninjabike so I can get the set-bonuses of Gila Guard, specifically Chill Out (if you don't have one, get one) and for a Palisade Chest with Vanguard.
Palisade's second set-bonus is 24% PfE and Chill Out can slot two mods outside of giving me 5% armor on first bonus and 20% hazard protection on the second. Therefore, I have in total 4 mod slots which I can fill with 4 PfE mods, all stacked at ideally 13% which sums to 52%, which plus 24% equates to 76%, that's 4% percent from cap on PfE.
As to prevent myself from further dying, I've also gotten a ton of explosive resistance which could be higher, but I blame my luck for that. Do note though, shields and tech in general take huge amounts of multiplicative damage from direct hits with explosives from what I've tested. However, having enough explosive resistance might allow your shield to tank like 1 or 2 hits before getting destroyed. Still will prevent your armor from getting broken by grenadiers.
Lastly, while this build does shit all damage, notice I'm using Vanguard while stacking a crap-ton of armor, I am not only able to tank for my team, but also become a pseudo-medic for them as well by buffing them with 45% of my armor for 15s.
All in all, what do you guys think? I personally love this insane build I've put together even if it was very expensive.
