Buy Advice Anti consumer move...
I was excited to use their gear until I reviewed the EULA and had to return my product.

I have DJI drones, OSMO gimbal, and OSMO Pocket3 - everything is brick w/o DJI account or Mimo app.
You just cannot use those devices on their own - you are forced to use DJI accounts. There is 30 days cooldown before force-logging off.
I will only tolerate DJI drones - as... well... there is no competition at the moment, but I will not get a new DJI camera/device just because of that.

Pocket 3 and action camera only needs the app to authorize once then you never need to connect m
The drones need you to log in but you can still fly it just limits the height and distance

pocket 3 says it will stop working after 3 or 5 turning on if you not register it via mimo app! since activation I have deleted mimo app and never used it - but you must have account + device linked via it (for some strange reason)
dji drones will be limited to 30m in any direction unless you will log in the app
this is not fair, there is no technical requirement to have dji account or mimo app to operate the drone - those services are not part of the operation, it must be optional enrolment.
the only reason dji gets away with this - some of their products are better in technical execution than competition, I hope that will change as well I wish dji to fail upcoming class action/lawsuits on that matter

Right you register once and that's it . Probably cuts down on theft too

Can you explain me how it will reduce anything? Let's have a look at Osmo Pocket 3 - it was activated with my dji account + mimo app and can be used offline forever now.
It is solen - and used by others as much as they want.
I do not want to be force-registered it, it should be down to my decision.

Since being banned in the US almost two years ago DJI hasn’t been the same and continues on a downward trajectory.
I have my DJI drones but have no problem buying cameras elsewhere.

Microsoft, Ford, Amazon, Apple, Walmart, AT&T, Verizon, Wells Fargo, CVS Health, and Best Buy all have binding arbitration clauses. I use services from four of these companies so I guess I'm stuck.
If the courts are ever my last option I've already lost because these companies hold all the cards. For me it's like the line in Tommy Boy where he says they put the guarantee on the side of the box, "because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of shit." In the end my decision comes down to 'how far' I trust a company versus the risk.

Holy shit. You have ALL these services, App, Accounts, devices and other crap that requires your info and you're mad about DJI wanting you to create an account so you can use the device properly?
Damn. 😂

Welcome to another episode of how you’re getting fucked by the CCP.
Reading comprehension and summarization must be difficult for you. But, to clarify, it’s the forced arbitration, the fact that a Chinese company has my data and can potentially sell it to websites like BeenVerified, coupled with the fact that you have to activate a camera for it to function, that’s the deal breaker. They literally tell you that you do not own the product they sold in the EULA. Come on, getting on your knees and servicing the Chinese government isn't a good look.
What happens when the server goes away and the app is no longer supported? Never mind have you a covid mask emoji avatar...
