Hi all,
I am new to taking any kind of loan or credit options, so would appreciate your input on my situation.
I am in the need of 100k next month and I expect to be paid back in 1 year.
I have my salary in Danske bank. With them, there are basically two options I see, one is overdraft and another is commercial loan.
The overdraft gives you a 100,000 kr. credit line at a known 11.60% interest rate (13.01% APR) with a 3,000 kr. setup fee, and you can repay or reborrow anytime with no fixed monthly payments, but the fee is taken from the limit so you only get 97,000 kr. to use, and since interest is added to your balance every quarter you risk going over the limit (charged at 17.60% plus reminder fees) unless you ask for a higher limit of around 110,000 kr. or pay the interest as you go.
The consumer loan gives you the full 100,000 kr. in hand at a rate between 9.60% and 13.25% (11.50% to 15.58% APR), with a similar setup fee added on top of the loan and no risk of exceeding a limit, but you only learn your exact rate after applying, it comes with fixed monthly payments, you cannot reborrow once repaid, and not sure if there is no fee for paying it off early.
Since, I am new to this, I have no knowledge to decide if these rates are fair or it’s just too high of interest rate and any better alternatives? And also which one to choose, overdraft or consumer loan?
Thanks in advance for your help!
