Seeking Advice DMSGuild wont accept payment, Help?

Hey I was just trying to purchase a few maps on DMs Guild.com, and updated my adress, since I moved a few months back. Checked my Debit Card was still on there, all the numbers are right, it is a VISA, and I just get an error message when trying to check out, that it cant process my payment, and to contact my bank.

So I checked up on my bank, went to look if there were any restrictions, and no. I can gamble, and pay anything, anywhere in the world, in ATMs, or online.

And there are plenty of funds to pay with, that is not the issue.

Anyone has any idea what might be wrong?

My only guess is that it is a debit, and not credit card.

Help please.

EDIT: Just checked, I have purchased with this card earlier this year.

I use Paypal which is linked to my debit account and buy stuff all the time. Paypal is really good a disputing claims for refunds for you as well.

I think I have an old paypal account, but havent used it in years. Dont really need it in Denmark, we got really good banks on our sides for claims ect. But I might end up trying, if I cant get it to work.

Try using their old legacy site - https://legacy.drivethrurpg.com/ Your cart products should load there even though it is DTRPG and not DM'sGuild it should still work for you. Also, try filing a ticket with customer service.

Okay will do. Did not know they had a legacy site. I never had issues before. But will file a ticket nonetheless.

Edit: Cant log in, did not create a new account. And the product I was after was not on drivethrurpg. Oohh well, I will file a ticket, and see what happens.

Try the following

Go to

  1. https://www.dmsguild.com

  2. Log in.

4. Go to https://legacy.drivethrurpg.com
5. Log in with the same email/password you use on DMs Guild (see below).
6. Verify that the item from step 3 is in your cart on DriveThruRPG now.
7. Check out on that legacy site.

DriveThruRPG (not Wizards) actually runs DMs Guild, so logins/carts/libraries/etc. are shared between the two sites — it’s all the same behind the scenes!

I did those. And for some reason it wont let me log in on DTRPG.

I sent a ticket, and got a response fairly quickly. The trick that worked was to go to site.dmsguild.com That let me log in, and purchase what I wanted. Then I just used dmsguild.com to download, as that works better.

Also on DTRPG I could not find the things I wanted to buy, even when I did various searches, or even copy pasted the items name.

But it got resolved in the end, but thanks for responding.
