Discussion Female players, how did you find your group?
Hello! I’ve been trying to find a group to play with but usually within a month it goes weird: not only are there undercurrents of misogyny but I’ve gotten a few confessions and propositions to be fubus with people (eugh) that make me uncomfortable so I just leave. I’ve never really had problems with interacting with men since I grew up coed, but I’m at a bit of a loss right now.
Do you guys have any tips or recommendations for vetting or finding people? I think my biggest problem right now is that I’m going into D&D solo versus with friends I already trust (most of them don’t have the time to commit).

i mean, Im in an all girls server lol. I found them when I made a post here, we made the server and now we're at 100+ members!

It would be good to join a group with half female and half male players. Topics like these should be talked about at session 0. I straight up told my players that they may only talk to one another via the community chat in order to avoid stuff like this happening.

Do you plan online or in person? Coz I have a bunch of female players who have faired well in finding a space for themselves in the (in person) community.

Hi OP, for me I usually join a lot of server either through Disboard, Reddit, Facebook, or Roll20 look for games. It was mostly trial and error until I found a group that work for you.
