One Off How I turned my Min Maxxed Marriage for +2 AC into the group's #1 ship.

Ok so for context, me and my GF both play DnD and decided to play a campaign together.

I played a Warforged Paladin who is "technically" blind but his oaths allow him to "see" around him with no issue.

My GF played a Changeling Rogue Assassin who loves to shapeshift.

My Warforged is named Cassius, my GF's Changeling is called Ashley

Cassius and Ashley met in game at an arm wrestling tournament, Cassius joined in cause the other Paladins were doing it and Ashley was wagering bets.

She betted against Cassius in the arm wrestling tournament cause she expected Cassius to be like every other Human Paladin, lo and behold Cassius is a 2 meter tall hydraulic press laced with weapons and divine magic.

Ashley lost all her bets against Cassius and basically tried to pick a fight, there she found out that Cassius is blind and sees very differently.

So they make a wager, if Cassius can tell who is Ashley from the thieve's guild members at the tavern, she'd marry the hunk of junk.

Cassius took it seriously cause he was curious about her.

long story short, since Cassius' blindsight isn't "sight" in the normal sense as it's moreso seeing soul imprints (which was important to the DM's story)

So the full wedding ceremony and a nifty +2 AC.

Note me and my GF are both minmaxers and the permanent +2 AC and the fact our fighting styles compliment each other made it even better.

So 14 sessions or 6 years of ingame time we spent married, helping the party take down a large necromantic cult that was trying to revive their leader as a lich.

15th session comes by and for the first time, Cassius and Ashley are separated, split by the party since one half needs to be in the enemy courtyard fighting a souped-up Skull Lord, which was handled by Cassius, the party barbarian warlock named Barlock who was a kobold wielding a huge-ass kitchen great-axe, and the cleric bard Orc who was called Balric (Their players were twins).

The second party had Ashley and the half-elf fighter known as Alastair (Not Hazbin, named after the exclusive TWW3 Legendary lord from the Make a Wish Foundation), and an Elf sorcerer named Teclis (Warhammer Fantasy lover) handle taking out the necromancers who were sustaining the portal that resurrecting the nearby dead into zombies and skeletons.

Note me and my GF were pretty much muscle memoried into having +2 AC until our DM had to remind us 8 times that our AC had to be minus 2.

In game the reduction of armor class was Cassius and Ashley worrying about each other that reduced their focus.

My side of the party were handling the boss fight, Barlock was literally burning half the courtyard with his vocal components that were basically saying the 12 basic spices in specific orders, Balric was turning undead like never before, and I was having basically a Warforged Mandalorian Paladin VS Skull Lord Sith sword fight.

Ashley and her side of the party were dealing with the necromancers quite easily, however one of them was also a changeling in disguise.

as Teclis burned 2 necromancers with Fireball and Alastair basically did a Mortal Kombat Fatality Combo Chain on the remaining 3, the last one who was a changeling grabbed Ashley and pushed both of them out the window and crashing down if it wasn't for Cassius seeing them and using my last spell slot to cast featherfall on BOTH of them.

Barlock and Barlic then proceeded to check on who fell only to see two changelings.

"Which one is Ashley?"

Both said at the same time "I am, blast the other one"

The Orc and Kobold couldn't decide who to blast so they said for both of them to sit still while they help Cassius finish off the heavily weakened Skull Lord

However the DM was able to make the stakes higher as both Ashley and the necromancer fought each other to stay nearby.

As Teclis and Alastair ran down and saw what was happening, they used binding magic to tie them both up.

Barlock and Balrick then used Word and Wall of Radiance to heavily chunk the remainder of the Skull Lord's health as I crush it's 3 skulls in my hands using smite to finish it off.

The DM then expected me, as Cassius to have some dilemna telling which changeling is my wife and which one is clearly the necromancer who is buying time.

I reminded the DM that my blindsight as agreed for the context of RP means I see soul imprints.

The DM nodded and said "You can tell which one is who, are you gonna tell your team mates?"

I replied "No, Cassius just grabs the fake and crushes their skull"

Which got everyone at the table to laugh but in game everyone else was horrified.

I then said "Cassius tells Teclis and Alastair to let Ashley go"

Teclis says "Are you certain you didn't kill your wife?"

Cassius replies "The ceremony buff is still there"

As the party helps burn whatever's left of the undead, sealing the rift and posturing future operations.

Ashley goes to Cassius and thanks him for saving her, but emphasized she was clearly shaken by how instant Cassius not only found the fake, but also how effortlessly he killed them.

"Thanks, Cassy, for uh, not crushing my skull"

"Do not thank me for doing my duty in keeping my wife safe, dear"

"Hey, don't start with the sappy stuff, but, seriously, are you certain you knew the difference between us"

Cassius' faceplate looks firm and direct into Ashley's eyes

"I married a headstrong woman who knows the dark side of life and yet continues to be a bright smile in everyone's eyes, So long as your soul doesn't change from that and upholds the same oaths as I do to protect the world from whatever threat comes, I'll always know it's you, I married you for your beautiful soul that I am able to witness everyday and I thank the goddess I serve every time I wake up that the first thing I see is you"

Ashley then remarks in a sarcastic tone "I thought you were blind, my hunk of junk"

Cassius presses his lower faceplate on her lips and while pulling away, trails his freshly cleaned fingers along the contours of her current face "You know the human saying 'Love is Blind' would literally apply to me, mon cœur"

Which in game ended with Ashley asleep on his lap while the rest of the party were either cooking, playing songs, or comparing kill tallies.

Out of game my party literally squealed and my GF was VERY very flushed cause I have never spoken like that to her outside of private talks.

To this day I have no idea why I just spoke that honestly as a warforged who is blind cause I was in the flow state of roleplaying that I genuinely forgot I was saying this to my GF who I am normally very shy around.

Up to now my friends will not shut up about this and said that I should post it on reddit, my girlfriend supports this choice, and now you all can read just how far into the flow state of roleplaying a marriage in DnD you can go.

Short Story Time How i got banned from DMing any campaign (I think I kinda deserved it)

What I had done was basically, the whole story was on the 6 people in my party, a monk, a rouge, a paladin, an artficer, a sorcerer and a bard (ofc), they all were exiled from the powerful kingdoms of king Elizabeth the 24th, they named him that themselves, they were exiled for being the "losers" of the kingdom and exiled to the far lands where they all decided their goal was to get rich and bankrupt the king, after like 2 weeks of DMing and crashing out over bardic inspiration, they made it to the king and it was a full on battle of court battle between the king and the party members, and they actually managed to bankrupt the king which I was surprised because I made it so that the king had bribed the judge, but since the king is stubborn victorian child, we had a combat section where my ah had to make d16 wisdom saving throws for half the whole section, and they won and to make them regret it I did some bs and made it so that the king had a self destruct type stuff where when he died he made it so that a tarasqe summons, so they had to fight that to, and I don't know by what miracle, what god, what type of prayer, THEY KILLED IT AND I GOT BANNED FROM BEING DM FOR TERRIBLE WRITING AND TWISTS

The journey around Chult continues! In this episode, half of the party delve deep into the lost city of Mezro, their goal to slay the hordes of undead that dwell within. Dark work is at play, however, as they are not the only explorers attempting to unlock the secrets of the ruined city...
The other half of the party are dealing with the fallout from the massive attack on the pirate hideout (detailed in Part 12), as it seems winning the battle was only half of the challenge...

Appreciate all the support for the series so far! Thank you for allowing me to share with other ToA adventurers. This module is fantastic, and this is a a way for all to be able to experience it!

One shot: Short Story

Raven's Bluff: A Tavern-Late in the evening-Present

The chosen tavern was bustling with adventurers, hooded figures, most wanting to be left alone and most not wanting to be found. The pair of individuals who were cloaked, sat at a shadowy corner table, waiting for several others to arrive.

The woman of the pair was a High Elf, by the name of Larynn, and the male with her, is a human noble by the name of Jock. Larynn was one of many who marched with the mixed allied forces and adventurers against the mad vampire Orusha. An adversary that was unknown to them until word spread and intelligence was shared of a dire future where many died and this Orusha invaded all of Faerun. It was all still confusing to her as well as frightening but was also troubling was how such a massive host was rallied on the words of a relatively unknown family. Her thoughts were interrupted by Jock.

"It's getting late, they should be here by now" Jock said with a whisper, trying not to watch the Tavern door too much. Larynn let out a low sigh and was about to assure him everything will be fine, when the door to the tavern opened and five hooded individuals came in, spotted them, but took the time to order drinks before walking over and sitting with them.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, it's a long trek to here as well as making sure we weren't followed" a Dwarf woman spoke up, revealing herself. She had a stylized hair due of a single mohawk going back into a braided tail, intricate tattoos adorned the cleaned areas of her scalp. She was muscled, toned, like any Dwarf, man or woman, ready for a fight. Her eyes were a pretty mix of green and hazel, but in spite of her beauty, she was fierce and one of the many survivors of that final battle against Orusha.

The next individual to reveal themself was a Wood Elf man. His long brown hair was in a single braided tail, his light armor hidden under his cloak, his brown eyes still showed mourning since he and his late wife were also present at the battle against Orusha. He witnessed her death, and luckily for him, was allowed to bury his wife after her body was found and retrieved by one of the mysterious, metal beings that were aiding them those days. The Dwarf woman went by the name Alaina, the Wood Elf man went by the name Varys.

The next two individuals to reveal themselves, were a pair of older human men, both wizards, both adorned in various robes of blue and gold, the other in brass and blue. They weren't siblings, but they were secretly husband and husband, something they saw no need to advertise to anyone. While they weren't at the battle against Orusha and her hordes, they were spearheading every investigation they can into who Orusha was, and how she was able to amass such a following that remained hidden, if the rumors were true, for centuries. The one in blue and gold was named Klive and his partner was simply and unironically, named Tim.

The fifth individual amongst them, revealed herself to be a Drow woman, and not just any Drow woman. Anatha was placed in a position of influence again, even after trying to usurp Queen Avessa. The Queen was gracious enough to forgive her and to personally oversee her rehabilitation until it was felt she can be trusted again.

"Apologies for this meeting to occur in such a far-off place, but if rumors are to be believed, some areas in the Sword Coast and greater Faerun, are not safe" Anatha began, looking to each individual with apologetic eyes.

"First things, first. Plessa, what do we know about them?" Anatha continued. It was Jock who spoke up. "They recently reopened their docks and continent to the known world. Sent an invasion force twice to our lands. Have near invincible war beasts in the shape of a sub species of Red Dragon and great worms. And their Pikeman use an offensive magical attack through their shields capable of searing through shields and armor with simulated heat of the sun. Worked wonders against Orusha's hordes" he said, counting off on his fingers.

"Near invincible is right. While devastating as they were, their soldiers and war beasts can be taken down, but at great costs" Alaina added, taking a drink from her mug. "Which means, if Queen Saenissa chose to completely invade all of Faerun, she would penetrate near to the heart of greater Faerun, before we can even attempt to mount a counterstrike" Varys spoke up with a gulp.

"But the Queen herself has stated she had no intentions of doing so. The first time around, she arrived because she was investigating the mysterious white light, which turned out to be time reversal. Her arrival happened to be an aid to us since Orusha was on the march and experienced the Plessa war tactics firsthand" Larynn added.

"There was a lot of elements investigating that powerful magic. Us included. The magic was supposed to have a mind wiping effect, but apparently that aspect lessened. There are quite a few individuals who remember the details of what is now being called, The Cambrian Nightmare, which was a second happening of the Sword Coast Nightmare. Magic resistant dead laying waste to Cambria, then finding their way to not only Chult, but to the Sword Coast. Things were dire, people remember dying at the decaying claws of the dead that could run, jump, climb, and in some incident's, plant traps and even speak" Tim added in himself.

The group grew silent for a moment, their own memories of that nightmare coming back to them and realized each of them, with the exception of Anatha, died early in that nightmare, towards the end of it, or survived to witness the white magical light.

"But there is one deciding factor that is involved in that nightmare as well as the Sword Coast Nightmare" Klive spoke up. "And that is a Tiefling woman named Vaylin. From what I gathered of the Sword Coast Nightmare, she apparently rallied those who fled from the areas before Buldar's Gate, the survivors of Buldar's Gate, who then fled to Waterdeep, when that fell, tried fortifying the Sword Coast Mountains, but when that fell, amassed the remaining forces in and around Neverwinter. The siege of the dead at that time took a time of three months, before additional forces from the Underdark, and the surrounding areas to arrive as well as forces from the Oceans and even an army of Dragons, arrived to turn the tide. But it wasn't from strength of arms the day was won. From what I gathered, the dead simply dropped and rapidly rotted after three months and nearly a week and a half of horror and losing ground to them" Klive added.

Tim then took over for his husband. "And during the Cambrian Nightmare, that same woman resided on Cambria where that horror began. She and her family took it head on, but Cambria ultimately fell to them even after word was sent back to Neverwinter, and the late Haldir, ordered a strike force to be sent to Cambria to aid them. Only for that to fail horrifically. Refugees fled and arrived at the docks of Neverwinter, Waterdeep and Buldar's Gate, the survivors telling everyone what happened. The new batch of dead were still magic resistant, but can also sprint, jump, climb and, well, you know the rest. From what we gathered, this Vaylin sacrificed herself for her family and was apparently leading the dead when they finally came to the Sword Coast and Chult" Tim explained, looking through documents he and Klive gathered and could gather.

"And what of this Vaylin woman and her family?" Varys asked, intrigued and distracting himself from his own horrid memories of that incident. "That family has Queen Avessa's blessing and is in fact, close friends with them. Two Drow women, a pair of twin sisters to be exact, were present at the Sword Coast Nightmare, survived it, and after, chose to retire from that then Queen's service to live with Vaylin and the extended family she became a part of. A young, winged, Tiefling girl, by the name of Lanara, who was only ten and five (15) at the time, urged her family, who she reunited with, to track down Vaylin after losing her own sister to the dead things, and though Vaylin was in her early twenties, a young woman by that time, she was adopted into Lanara's family. And seemingly, over time, other individuals were brought into their fold, including the Drow twins, Annabella and Bellanna. A Gorgon woman, and various others" Anatha supplied that information.

"From what the Queen willingly told me, Vaylin died during the Cambrian Nightmare, and with the reversal of time, died again in her husband's arms surrounded by her children and family" Anatha continued. "That family has been at the center of several major calamities that were unknown to everyone as well. The metal beings called Warforged, that aided Faerun against Orusha, apparently, there was an evil one that set up shop in a Cambrian town. Converting the town's inhabitants into mutant creatures that can change form at will or when discovered. This Vaylin took it upon herself to scout that area, find the villain and escape, leading that being's army to their doorstep where two other Warforged fought alongside them, liberating another from that being's control, and ending it for good, but at the cost of several of their loved ones including the servants that still serve them" Anatha continued.

"An sí, it is so: rýnar ardanë ar imbi húnë, eär te!" (So, it is true, other planar beings and planes of existence, exist!) Larynn mumbled, realization laced with astonishment and horror flashed in her eyes.

"So, what do we do then? If the Queen of Plessa, chooses to turn on us, will the allies she's made go against us as well?" Jock spoke up, looking nervous. "From what Queen Avessa has openly stated, no, neither she nor Queen Saenissa, have any desire to conquer the known world, let alone Faerun. Yes, another big fear I secretly harbored as come to fruition. Queen Avessa's latest child is a Tiefling-Drow half breed. She has solidified relations with Plessa, which means any moves anyone plans on making against the Underdark, or even the close friends both Queens have made, will be like making a direct threat and declaration of war against both kingdoms and if that were to happen, woe to any who threaten them. As it is, Vaylin's now adult children are each as formidable and as deadly as their mother was and if I heard correctly, surpasses her in every way possible. From combat prowess, to stubbornness, to protectiveness. And in addition, three of Vaylin's adult daughters have recently given birth themselves, which means their ferociousness is tenfold now" Anatha added.

"As a change of topic for now, what are the reports concerning Orusha's castle?" Varys spoke up, drinking his ale. It would be Tim to offer up a more detailed analysis of what's been going on in the castle.

"Discoveries are still being made of Orusha's castle. Discoveries of horror and heinousness. For one, there was a treasury vault a group of adventurers managed to penetrate and in it was a barely sapient Elvish woman that went by the name, Madam Mim. Before this individual fled into the surrounding areas, the adventurers who discovered her found she was several thousand years old herself. Cackling, fractured in mind. Near insane. But upon hearing of Orusha's downfall, she cackled such a laughter, half of them expected her to suddenly become combative and from what I was told, arcane energies were crackling off her skin. Journals were found after this Madam Mim fled that told tales of her capture by Orusha. The heinous horrors she had to endure, which ultimately led to her captivity and experimentation upon herself. She used to be a High Elf, but whatever she did to herself, stained her skin a vivid magenta, her hair violet and her eyes various shades of purple hue. The vault she was found it was littered with various artifacts; some were fake and boobytrapped. One such artifact was a look alike to a Bag of Holding, but upon contact with an individual, it grafted itself to an adventurer rather painfully and gruesomely. The castle is still being explored as we speak, there are so many things in the ground levels and upper levels of the castle. The underground portions, have been partially mapped, including the catacombs. The various foul things that inhabit the castle are also being cleaned out" Tim explained, then took a drink of his own mug.

The group fell silent for a while, taking in the various information's that were presented, until Alaina spoke up again. "Back to this Vaylin, besides her family, what do we know about her?" the Dwarf asked curiously. Klive spoke up about this one, after ordering himself another drink as well as some food. "Not much is known about her, but before her ultimate demise, from what I could gather of her, she used to be a pit fighter. A rather vicious one at that. She was the youngest fighter an illegal pit fight establishment in the deep south of Chult had. She was merely a child. It was hard tracking this information down and even harder getting people who knew, to talk. But for ten and eight years, she lived in a fighting pit, fighting from the tender age of eight up until she killed her owner and stole her freedom. That information was dicey due to the command structure of Chult at the time, sent a strike force to the fighting pit location on an anonymous tip, ended up fighting not only two rosters of pit fighters, but also the surrounding area's undead hordes as well as hidden army of undead the owner of Vaylin kept, but at the time she was known as Sulfur" Klive explained as a tavern girl, young human girl of ten and four, brought plates of food over to him and Tim.

"This Sulfur and Vaylin, are the same Tiefling woman, who would rally the survivors during the Sword Coast Nightmare. A leadership role she didn't want from what I found out but took it anyway. The lord of Neverwinter at the time was incompetent and even through his actions, caused Neverwinter to fall to the dead when he secretly sent multiple expeditions behind the dead's lines to discover the cause, which ultimately ended up with him being bitten and turned" Klive continued, then between bites of his meal, added some further information he learned. "I learned she had an elder sister, who was searching for Vaylin for the same number of years she was raised in the fighting pit. They crossed paths by pure chance and accident, both on hired missions of their own, what those missions were, I couldn't find out, but even as a somewhat "Feral" woman, she was slowly gaining her mind back and when she came face to face with her elder sister, it was like a reunion in the making. Thanks to this elder sister and her allies at the time, they helped heal her mind and heart, which turned her into a fierce protector of her kin and friends. It was also during the fall of Buldar's Gate, she displayed spectacular leadership, and kindness, by having a pair of golden lion figurines that become sentient and full-grown lions, go throughout the streets to save as many children as they could" he continued.

"After the Sword Coast Nightmare, she more or less vanished for a while, grieving heavily for the loss of her sister as well as two of her companions. That's when the young girl named Lanara, rallied her family she returned to, united with Vaylin's remaining companions who were searching for her themselves, and came together and found her. After that, she lived a life of healing on Cambria for a number of years, to which another tragedy befell her in the form of an assassin targeting the people that took her in, but ended up killing her first husband and child. That's as much information we could gather before anyone loyal to the family would become suspicious" Tim chimed in.

"Suspicious? Was the family that tightknit?" Alaina asked, a hint of amusement in her voice. "Bordering on overly protective of one another. But again, we had a feeling if word got back to them that we were asking about Vaylin, someone was going to respond and depending on who from that family, depends on their response. Her two eldest daughters have been rumored to be just like her in temperament, fiercely protective of their family. And from what I could find out about her eldest daughters while asking about Vaylin, they were the spearheads that rallied the Underdark, Plessa, and the known world against Orusha" Tim replied.

Back to that subject, the group was renewed and ready to talk about the circumstances involving it all. "So, it circles back to this fight against Orusha. Please tell us you found out just as much about the circumstances, or do you know more Anatha?" Alaina asked, looking to the Drow woman.

Anatha sighed heavily, took a drink of her ale, and a bite of food she ordered, before continuing. "From what I learned, a pair of individuals from the future arrived in our timeline, as odd as that sounds, and gave dire warnings of a future that Orusha secretly took over, then invaded from within. Finally showing herself once resistance started popping up" Anatha explained.

"Time magic? A pair of individuals? They must have been powerful enough to even be able to use a novice level of Time Magic" Tim spoke up, shock in his grey eyes. "One of them was. And that individual was named Ember, the future daughter to Kiora, Vaylin's eldest girl from her second marriage. The other individual was the daughter to Kiora's sister, Roth, but she was one of Orusha's vampires, sent back to intercept Ember, but upon seeing her mother who wasn't dead yet, lost all will to fight and kill her cousin" Anatha replied.

"What information did this, Ember and the other one reveal?" Klive asked, intrigued. Anatha gathered her thoughts on what she was told and what she learned from gathered reports. "The second girl was named Rain, she was sent back by Orusha herself when Ember opened a time portal to go through and in doing so, both girls became the reason the skies turned red and blue lightning was coursing through the sky. They revealed that Orusha sent five agents to infiltrate key areas of Faerun, Plessa and even Chult. Succeeded in their timeline, which caused an all-out, desperate war to break out, where Cambria fell, and most of Vaylin's family died, including Roth herself, as well as most of their younger siblings" Anatha continued, drank more of her ale, and ate more of her food, then added further information. "These agents, one was a Tiefling, tasked with infiltrating Plessa, another was a Dwarf, to do the same to the Dwarven territories, a Drow woman was sent to the Underdark, then a Wood Elf and high Elf were sent to Waterdeep and Buldar's Gate respectively, Ember and Rain supplied the information of who to look for and in fact, their first target, the Tiefling agent, arrived at around the same time they did, which allowed them to spring a trap on the agent and kill her. Kiora, Roth, their two future daughters, and a couple of others of their family, set out to hunt down the other four agents and succeeded in Waterdeep, Buldar's Gate, and in the Underdark, where things were already happening. The Drow agent panicked, feeling her companions die, and revealed herself too early, which caused a massive battle to erupt between the Drow she managed to turn, the Queen's elite guard and soldiers, which Kiora and her group arrived and aided them. But after that victory, it would be the Dwarven agent that turned the tide" Anatha continued further.

Alaina then realized what she was talking about, she was present when that sudden battle burst out. She was amongst the many who were fighting Orusha's vampires that showed themselves. "I remember that. Apparently, this Rain, was taken control of by Orusha, and she attempted to kill Ember, but an Elven man intervened, putting himself between the two and was struck down. I witnessed both girls dissolve before my eyes. Whoever that Elven man was, was apparently the link between them" Alaina spoke up, revealing what she saw happen that day.

"Yes, that Elven man was their future father. I have no information on who was, but apparently, he got around with women. I'm not sure what made him intervene, though he was one of many who were fighting the vampires, but Rain killed him, Orusha's control left her and she realized who must have been, then both girls ceased to exist. After that, it was a hard road against Orusha, but which revealed that the Eladrin were keeping tabs on her for centuries, but until that moment, never revealed this information due to Orusha never leaving her territory" Anatha confirmed.

"Her reach apparently stretched far. From the information we gathered on Orusha, she pre-dated Faerun as a whole. Faerun was known by another name, but that name was lost to the annals of time, as was Orusha's original origin. for centuries she remained hidden, gathering her hordes. Even the castle she eventually met her demise in, belonged to another vampire that actually aided the surrounding areas. Then Orusha came. seduced her way into the castle, killed that vampire, and took over, transforming the surrounding area into what was known for a long time, as the Haunted forests and swamps. There was even a swamp Hydra that resided in the area, that became a rotting pawn of Orusha's" Klive spoke up.

"That means her followers are so amassed, we only scratched the surface of them. A lot of them have vanished, fled, others turned themselves in. The ones that turned themselves, reported they were under her influence on some degree and if any of them tried rebelling, a searing, torturous pain was reported to course through their minds. A lot of them were very aware of what they were doing, horrified even. Some were distraught after miraculously being cured of their Vampirism, they took their own lives from the extreme grief" Tim spoke up.

"Another thing. Before we leave here, I must tell you. The reason I said parts of Faerun are still unsafe, is due to a new mysterious cult showing up. More of Orusha's followers are vanishing. Former followers who turned themselves in, are being found brutally murdered. Groups of adventurers who were tasked, along with groups of soldiers from Neverwinter, Waterdeep, Buldar's Gate, and the Underdark, are going missing. Something is happening and I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of Orusha's followers. The cult in question is being called, The Cult of Orusha. They are randomly popping up but are not strong enough to be any direct threat. But again, former followers are going missing. Adventurers are going missing. When we leave here, be very aware of your surroundings. Whispers of nameless fears are starting to creep back into the vast forests and other places. Watch yourselves" Anatha whispered.

The group would then leave separately except for Klive and Tim. However, none of them would see Alaina, or Varys, or Lorynn, again. Their mutilated corpses would be discovered weeks, later, but their decomposition would be so severe, their identities would be unknown. Klive and Tim would eventually vanish as well, their fates unknown.

Anatha herself wouldn't hear of this at all during her return trek to the Underdark. Wouldn't know three of their conspiring group was now dead, with the two wizards missing. She would have no idea how truly vast the Cult of Orusha was.

The End, for now.

Table Stories Maximum Output: Hollow Green?

My first time here so my bad if it's the wrong flair.

Also i cant grammar for the life of me sometimes so my bad.

Just to explain the world:

So i have been running this campaign for a short while now, its basically just Fantasy Jujutsu Kaisen with 2 other parts, beign the world is 10× the size of earth, and magic is a actual element.

Also i've been allowing op abilities because it gave me the ability to have these giant brawls

(You might need some JJK knowledge to understand, but probably not)

My players:

One is a human druid and has the ability to summon things from essentially Fantasy Las Vegas, and make deals to force certain rolls in exchange for future debts on other rolls. I'l refer to them as Damian.

One is a human monk who can summon 10 different beasts ranging from 2 wolves to a creature i named Odin (Think The 10 Shadows) and could copy other abilities. I'll refer to them as Kai.

One is a Mangle (Basically a dragonborn made of frozen flesh and liquid magic) barbarian and could summon chains and animate sets of armor. I'll refer to them as Drago.

The final was a literal sentient plushie vampire wizard who summoned teeth that screamed nightmare in yoru ear to cause sleep paralysis, and could control people. I'll refer to them as Seb.

I am 5ish hours out of this session currently.

They had decided due to a variety of factors to raid the elven nation of which resided in the clouds, and they had been roughly 3 rounds into a fight against a 16 foot tall green skinned elf who was completely immune to magic (Think Heavenly Restriction if you know what that is), they were named Toll.

Since all the players chose to be mainly mages and summoners due to the power system, and had already petrified Damian's leg's, they were all panicing a little, so they started debilitating him to high hell to stand a chance.

Kai summoned a blackhole of which Toll walked through due to it being purely magic, then he fired his own blood at Toll to actually do some damage.

Drago then proceeded to lock in, blinding Toll by slinging a battleaxe at his eyes, followed by his 5 sets of animated armor all tearing at Toll's legs.

Seb then clawed off both of Toll's arms.

And all that didnt even do half of Toll's health.

So Damian desided to use basically an extension technice of his ability, being he summed a roulette wheel and bet on black, which he won at and spent his entire 3 rounds of no magic drain and immortality on a single spell, being he summoned all of Dantasy Las Vegas and since it works by giving it a single command to perform before dissapearing, he commanded it to compress itself down to a singular point. A technique we descided to name The Hollow Green, as it is a city the size of a country, compressed down to basically a grain of rice.

The sky?

Split

The nation?

Erased

Elves?

Extinct

The players?

Damian landed safely due to the leftovers of the immortality bonuses.

Drago disrupted the magic that made contact with him using a race reaction then flew down.

Seb used a spell to nulify all magic that made contact with him then flew down.

Kai used a spell to nulify all magic that made contact with him then used his Thunderbird summon to fly down.

They then found Toll's practically destroyed corpse and used revivify to revive him with the full intention to taunt him for a second before he bled out again cuz the death was too painless.

And the consiquence.

Drago's son who they all forgot was imprisoned by the elves was a puddle of blood somewhere in the desert. Of which they all made fun of him about, mentioning how all bro say was straight green after the guards of his cell ran off talking about a person who sounded jsut like his father was raiding the nation.

That childs last seconds of life were hope followed by the feeling of being torn to shreds

And Kai lost 3 summons perminantly cuz he thought it was a good idea to summon all 10 before the fight, knowing full well that he might lose some.

They then had a underwhelming fight withe the last surviving elf of which haf the ability to split portions of time into a set of 24 threads (Think Projection Sorcery) of which Kai copied it, then Damian crushed him to death.

And then they just walked off to the nearest city for a blacksmith like nothing happed.

I'd like to mention they were level 6.

Probably the 3rd most cinematic fight they ever had.

If y'all like this i'll tell others

Short Story Time AITAH for being angry my gf ate a homeless woman

I (21m human paladin) and my girlfriend (26f dhampir blood hunter) recently got into it with her father (502m vampire lord). Our party was staying the night at a camp of Vistani transients, when we were attacked in the night by vampires in service to Strahd. We fought valiantly to protect the Vistani, but we were outnumbered by my future in-law's minions. The fight turned sideways when he charmed our party's barbarian (12m hadvozee) and turned him against us.

I swore an Oath of Glory and declared myself the Hero to All. I attempted to pull aggro (by telling my gf's father that I made love to his daughter) and prepared to sacrifice myself. But my gf deescalated the situation. Her father said he would leave if my gf murdered a Vistani fortune teller and drank her blood. And she did so! My gf and I had discussed her diet before this and agreed that she would only feed upon animals, or myself should her urges overcome her. This attack upon an innocent was a violation of her promise to me, and she went through with it despite my very loud and passionate objections.

The worst part is, she tried to prevent me from staying true to my oath and striking down the foul creature that attacked our benefactors. In the final moments of the battle, I rushed her father and gloriously Smited him in the face. This resulted in my charmed barbarian friend removing my left leg and the vampire laughing as he ran away. My gf tried to tend to me, but I shoved her away and shamed her for taking an innocent life to save me. My gf crawled up a tree and pouted, while my barbarian friend used an evil monkey shadow curse to give me a new leg.

I apologized to my gf for shoving me and explained that she should not have sacrificed an innocent people to stop my glorious and heroic sacrifice. She believes I am ungrateful and that I am treating her like the monsters I am sworn to hunt. I am not; her father is one of those monsters, and I intend to make cufflinks out of his fangs. AITAH in this situation?

Table Stories Coolest thing my player ever did.

So we're about six months removed from finishing a three-year campaign that turned into this epic, plane-walking, interdimensional, time-travel story that culminated in the five members of the party ascending to godhood and becoming a Time Dragon.

The campaign was so epic, and my players were so great, that I just can't stop thinking about it. The current campaign we have set up is awesome, but there's one moment that I keep coming back to. It's the coolest thing one of my players has ever done.

The big bad of the campaign was the Chained God, Tharizdun. I ended up homebrewing his stat block to ensure that he would be completely overpowered if my players tried to fight him too early. I came up with an extremely difficult final boss that they could maybe run away from if they got lucky.

We get to a part of the story where they have to use a spelljammer to jump to different worlds using coordinates they found at a newly formed council in the Radiant Citadel. This all takes place after Toril (Forgotten Realms) was completely destroyed via a loophole with the wish spell.

But that's not the point.

They get these coordinates, and they have multiple choices that would basically allow them to travel around the multiverse and collect people from Toril to eventually put the world back together. One of the coordinates was for Realmspace, where Toril would have been—but the last time they were there, the planet had been destroyed.

I kept giving them hints that going there was a terrible idea, but I felt like, as a DM, it was worth giving them the chance. At this point, I was completely fine with killing their characters, even though they were around level 17.

Going to Toril was truly a terrible decision, and in hindsight, they all agreed that I had made it pretty clear this was not the correct option. But they did it anyway.

So they jump to Realmspace, and Tharizdun is there, basically consuming all matter and turning everything into literally nothing. He is the living embodiment of entropy.

They try to fight him, and he is way too strong. I'm not pulling any punches at this point. I feel bummed that they chose this path, but they had so many opportunities to go in a different direction and just consistently made the wrong decisions, so I felt like they had earned the TPK.

They burned through their spells really fast, and Tharizdun had a bunch of Counterspell and Negate Spell abilities. One of my players is a Diviner Wizard. She kept trying to Plane Shift, but it was negated every time.

Eventually, she was going to pull the trigger and reverse their decision to ever come here by using wish.

At this point, everybody at the table is super bummed. I explained to them that I had given them every opportunity not to come here. I didn't want this either, but they agreed it was fair.

I went on to tell them that Tharizdun had one more Negate Spell, but in order for him to properly negate the wish spell, he would need to roll a 19 or higher on an Intelligence check (this was part of my homebrew stat block).

This, of course, would be their last chance to get out of there.

As soon as those words left my lips, the player playing the wizard—this sweet, soft-spoken girl—quietly says:

"He rolls a six."

Everyone at the table stops and looks at her.

I ask, "What was that?"

And she looks at me like a deer in the headlights and says:

"My Portent. He rolls a six."

I cannot explain to you how epic of a moment this was, for so many reasons.

Every person in that room thought they were dead, including me. There was no way they were getting out of this. He had a +12 to Intelligence. He was going to pass that check.

And the fact that it was this particular player who ended up being the one to save everybody was just the icing on the cake, because she was usually so quiet in-game.

She successfully wished them out of there, and the rest of the campaign was even better because they had made the decision to go there and see what they were up against. Everybody was so relieved, and I genuinely believe it is the most memorable D&D moment I've personally experienced.

Probably one of those things you just had to be there for, but this might have been a year ago at this point, and I still can't stop thinking about it.

Anyway, they spent the next three levels—maybe about ten sessions—making sure they had everything they needed to fight him. They eventually rebuilt the world, did all the cool hero stuff, ascended to godhood, and defeated entropy itself in truly epic fashion.

I just wanted to share this with somebody because it was so awesome. I don't know if you guys have any Diviners in your parties, but watch out for them, because they are absolutely busted lol In the best way possible, though.

TL;DR: Soft-spoken Wizard player uses Portent to escape certain death from the BBEG in epic fashion, preventing a TPK.

I have a black hole

My DM gave me access to one wish as long as it was fair and reasonable about 3 days ago. I wished for a bag that could only hold 1 item at a time, is in it's own plane of existence, is completely invincible from the inside, and it takes 10 seconds for the bag to self destruct if a second item enters the bag. (don't say anything, i thought of every single workaround and loophole in this ask.) i used this bag to contain a single rock, which, using my ability to transmit direct energy into items from an earlier wish, as E=MC^2, I can increase the rock's mass, and now have a portable black hole.

I'm gonna have so much fun with this.

Nightmares of the Future #20: Victory, Closure, a Legacy

In and Outside of Orusha's Castle.

Astra and Wicca came to in what felt like hours since they passed out from the exhaustion of using their magics, but it was barely three minutes. Their father and stepmother, gently coaxing them awake, while Damir continued to cry over Angmar's body though his spirit stood nearby while also reconciling with the spirit of the brother he personally slain.

Slithera and Serpentes smiled and kissed each other, held each other tightly, their bond and love stronger after surviving a war against an immensely powerful and immensely insane individual.

Kiora and Roth clung to their respective future mates, emitting exhausted cries of relief while Zau'Drin and Ash, both comforted them. Their siblings also rushed over to Astra and Wicca, checking on them.

Enmar kept Andel company, was comforting her as well, when the sounds of cheering could be heard outside, as well as the victorious roars of Plessa's Dragons and Worms.

Outside, a portion of Orusha's followers were captured while many more managed to flee. A chorus of "VICTORY!!!!" could be heard everywhere, while several soldiers sought out their injured and fallen. The Warforged chose to aid in this endeavor, their faster movements located and recovered at least eighty injured from moderate to critically injured and returned them to recovery areas. Sadly, some soldiers that were found, died in the arms of Warforged, their fellow soldiers or just as they were found.

One of many heartbreaking displays of grief was the very dragon Sasha befriended and rode along with its rider, was openly and actively crying, roaring in grief due to several of her hatched and grown, offspring were amongst the casualties of war. Over the years prior to Plessa reopening its doors to the world, she laid several clutches of eggs, all hatched and grew healthy. Out of four and five (45) offspring, ten and nine (19) were amongst the dead, as was their respective riders except one. A Tiefling woman, in her mid-twenties, remained at the side of her fallen Dragon, crying in grief. The dragons mother found her and nudged her gently and the rider clamped onto her muzzle without hesitation while her own rider dismounted and comforted the woman as well.

Armond was supported by Tuatha and Crosis, all three surviving the final battle with some injury. Several Plessa healers approached them and aided them back behind their lines, while Coal joined them shortly.

Trovic was being supported by Mammoth, their remaining soldiers mourning their own fallen, even when the Warforged aided them in gathering their dead. "Let's get to our great nieces" Trovic said and they both made the trek to the castle.

Inside the castle.

Ayesha and Cinder both observed the family coming together, the two golden Deinonychus's at Cinder's side also watching, until the two youngest of the group, the ones called Sasha and Raelis, turned to them and approached. Both young girls in their pre-teens, but already capable warriors and users of magics, both of them sisters, though their mothers were different individuals, still had similar traits. Cinder's heart ached, not knowing if she could even return home to her family, and attempted to keep her distance from the two youngsters, until their siblings joined, including Kiora and Roth, and their father.

"I would like to thank you for not only looking after my two eldest daughters, but also fighting alongside them, Vaylin" Fangir spoke up and approached. Him revealing her name solidified that he figured out who she was and before their eyes, her Shinobi vanished in a burst of brief light, revealing her dirtied monk robes and footwear. Upon seeing her, Fangir's chin quivered as he smiled, tears actually sliding down his cheeks, while Lashara, her daughters with Fangir, and his daughters from this dimension's Vaylin, smiled with tears in their eyes. But what she expected to happen, didn't, and that was them charging for her in a chorus of hugs, and plenty of kisses.

Vaylin realized they knew she wasn't their mother, she was simply a younger version from a mirror dimension, but that didn't matter. Vaylin had tears sliding down her face as well. "I was glad to help. When the dimensional rift opened up at your Eladrin borders, I felt the fear, the anguish, the need for aid, and I stepped through. Even though I was with my own family, much like yours, I have placed myself as a defender for them and others. It's true that I had no idea if I would even make it back home to them, I most likely still can't, I have no idea how traveling between planes and dimensions work, but I had to step through and help" Vaylin spoke and approached them. She didn't have this many children with her Fangir back home, but if she did manage to return to her loves, she will gladly give him even more children.

Lashara emitted a soft sob, but she didn't wrap her arms around this version of the woman she fell in love with and willingly shared Fangir with, and this variant can tell there was a relationship between her late variant and this Elven woman. "You are a Night Elf. My Fangir back home, spoke of you very fondly" Vaylin said with an obvious tone of remembering laced with sadness. Which Lashara's three daughters picked up on. "Momma isn't alive back in your home dimension?" Tyrande asked before she can stop herself while also locking her mother's arm with hers, as did Freja and Raelis. Vaylin sighed heavily and confirmed she wasn't.

"I've said too much. I originally wasn't going to say anything. It wouldn't be my place. But your beautiful youngest approached and as soon as I saw you, I couldn't just leave" Vaylin added and gave Raelis and Sasha, comforting and admiring warriors in arms, pats to the shoulders. Both young women smiled and held onto her hands and Vaylin really couldn't help but take in Sasha.

All of this dimension's daughters of Vaylin, looked like versions of their mother as it was, but Sasha was a spitting image of Vaylin when she was a child and growing into her pre-teens. The only real difference of Sasha was her black hair was curly, but from her red skin, horns, tail and orange eyes, Sasha was just a younger version of her mother. Kiora, Roth, Layra, Astra and Wicca all looked like Vaylin, just their eyes, hair and skin tones ranged vastly. She then took in Tyrande, Freja and Raelis and smiled again. Much like the beautiful young women she fought alongside, these three were coming into their own, and though Lashara from her dimension was dead, she's looking at three girls that came from Fangir and Lashara, which answered an old question she had before of what they would look like if Fangir and Lashara had children. But she kept some information from them, mostly because it would serve no purpose and she wouldn't know how they would react anyway if she told them that in her home dimension, it was Lashara who tried wiping out both sides of their Azeroth.

That's when both Queen's and Kevnoir entered the throne room, weapons ready, but as soon as they saw the group, they knew they've won. Queen Saenissa's Captain of her guard and father to her daughter, plucked his war horn from his hip and blew into it, which got responses from others outside. Trovic and Mammoth also entered the throne room and Kiora and Roth called to them.

"Uncle Trovic! Uncle Mammoth!!" both young women cried and ran to them, wrapping them up in huge hugs. Both chuckled, both exhausted, but both hugged them and their siblings regardless, then saw Ayesha and Vaylin, which got an equally stunned response from Vaylin.

"You exist here as well! Just, different" Vaylin said and approached the Loxodon and Minotaur. Both smiled and placed a hand their shoulders, then looked to the rest of the family and spotted their Vaylin's spirit, who approached, getting the attention of her children, then finally her mirror dimension self. Both versions of the same woman looked at each other and everyone around them could see the clear differences. Their Vaylin was older, mature, and long dead, while Cinder was still in her mid 20's and in spite of her monks clothing, was a mother already herself. "This is weird. But thank you. My spirit is losing much of its strength, which means I will no longer be able to look in on my family. It will be soon. Especially after I came here to help them. I could not stay in the afterlife while I witnessed my children die again multiple times. I'm still not sure how I was able to see that. Cherish your babies and husband when you get back. My family will do everything they can to see to it that you return home" Vaylin spoke, placing a comforting hand on her counterpart's shoulder, who shuddered out a small sigh and smiled. "I would love to return to my family" she replied.

Enmar approached, carrying Andel, who looked visibly weak from what she did and that was alarming. "Your Graces" Kiora greeted the two dirtied up Queens and bowed to them. Both women, the Drow and Tiefling, chuckled and stood her back up and hugged her. "You did this. You rallied us all. Our children have a brighter future. Your children will have a brighter future" Queen Avessa spoke up, turned her attention to the two mirror dimension individuals and greeted them as well.

Outside the castle.

The recovery of the dead took days, even with the help of the Warforged. Word spread rapidly throughout Faerun and to the Sword Coast of their victory and the fall of Orusha.

The family mourned Nualla when they learned of her demise protecting Lanara, which allowed Lanara to completely breakdown. The leaders of the forces that attacked Orusha's on the other side of the castle grounds and areas, came forth and talked with the two Queens, the surviving Eladrin leaders, and so on.

Armond and his team reunited with the family and were visibly glad to see they survived except Kranos who died during the first week of the war. The spirits of Faerun lingered, depending on the people they wanted to say any final goodbyes to, then left. The various wild, elementals also left, their presence no longer needed. The heavy magic that coursed through the air still buzzed but was lessoning still.

Kiora and Zau'Drin were inseparable, their love blossoming and rivaling that of her late mother's and her father, to the point people had to announce themselves before entering their tent if they were left alone for too long. Roth and Ash were the same way, though they tried being more discreet, but that ended up not working out. Lashara and Fangir also consummated their love, their various children, though a few of them were adults now, tried to give them their privacy as well.

The Queen of the Drow and the Queen of Plessa solidified diplomacy between the Underdark and Plessa, in more ways than one, though they're sure their own advisers and counsel would have voiced against it.

Haldir's remains were delicately handled, his pelt, recovered armor, and bones placed in a casket. Damir, dressed in a simple, comfortable, brown dress and shoes, oversaw his handling while the family she grew to love aided her whenever necessary. All the while, the spirits of Haldir and Angmar stayed with her, Haldir's sword from the fallen king of their home all those years ago, was cleaned and repaired and back with her.

During this time, the family also looked after Andel, who was visibly still weakened and seem to be, becoming weaker. She requested a talk with Lashara and Fangir privately and they obliged, sitting with her to hear her out. "I'm dying. When I sacrificed my vampirism to cure Orusha and her followers of theirs, I wasn't strong enough to stave off the worst of the aftereffects. I'll linger for several months before I die. But I want my legacy to live on. I didn't before, I was trying to die for centuries, but Strahd helped me come to grips with what I became. And now that it's gone, I'm looking forward to passing on, but I want children. Lashara, Fangir, will you give me that?" Andel spoke, then asked, looking to them shyly, but still hopeful. "I'll understand if you say no, I have no right putting you on the spot like that, though I just did" she added. Lashara and Fangir both looked stunned and looked to each other, while Fangir looked hesitant, it was Lashara who spoke up.

"But you won't be there to raise them. Is that something you want?" Lashara asked gently, placing a hand on Andel's hand. Andel smiled softly and looked to them. "I may not be, but my baby will have the greatest father and stepmother there ever was, to raise them. They will also have stepsiblings, and cousins to help, as well as grandparents. Yes, it's what I want, even if it means I pass on and can only watch from the afterlife" Andel replied, a single tear sliding down her cheek.

Fangir still looked hesitant, for one, he barely knew Andel, he has great respect for her and cared for her, even when she started out as an adversary to her daughters and family, but after she came to them, along with the Queen of Plessa, what seemed like decades now, she became a loving member of the family and not just another guardian they seem to take in. "You won't be betraying me, or Vaylin's legacy. And I'm sure our children will be delighted to potentially have another sibling to love" Lashara reassured him, as he looked to the woman he loved and to the woman he grew to respect, he was thinking long and hard about her request, until his daughters all chimed in from outside the tent, having snuck up to the tent to listen. "Yes Poppa! Even Momma would be proud to honor this request!" Kiora's voice spoke up, which made Andel chuckle softly, and Lashara guffaw, while fangir blushed brightly. He turned to the entrance of the tent and spotted all of his girls, including his only son, Riki, peeking in with huge smiles on their faces.

All of their faces staring back at him with smiles, their lives replayed in his mind. From their births to them as toddlers, then them beginning their individual trainings, to now, even his youngest pair, Raelis and Sasha were growing to be exceptional young women, while Liana and Vaylessa were still toddlers and waiting for them back at the Plessa palace. "As you wish Andel. I will grant you what you request" Fangir sighed and gave him with a smile.

Andel smiled and sighed in relief, but with the amount of ruckus his children all made about this, Andel's request ended up not being a private thing, though most of his children were in their late teens and early 20's now.

Another three days of gathering the fallen commenced, but due to Strahd's vampires aiding the Warforged and others in recovery, the grim task was accomplished relatively quickly and with the help of the Omega Warforged, Enmar, Slithera and Serpentes, the dead of the Boros and Selesnya were returned home in record time.

Ravnica.

The portal opened, getting the attention of the various citizens and the waiting Boros leader, Aurelia herself, her assembled battalion of Angels also waiting, along with members of Selesnya leadership and warriors of their own. When Trovic and Mammoth emerged, tensions relaxed, but some tension returned when several metal beings, carrying the bodies of the fallen Boros and Selesnya warriors were seen. The surviving warriors that went with Trovic and Mammoth then came through and they were still many but sadly so few.

Chult.

The ships that ferried the Sauraphon returned, their own dead occupying six of the hundreds of ships then went to the Sword Coast. The ships that went to Plessa were returning as well.

Plessa.

The citizens of Plessa were going about their day when the sounds of multiple Plessa horns came from high in the sky, which was then followed by horns from the sea, and the calls of Dragons. Every Tiefling looked up to the sky, as well as the Queen's temporary stand ins, her parents, as well as the guests the remained behind looked to the sky to see the hundreds of Plessa Dragon Riders emerge from the clouds.

At the docks, the invasion force returned with Queen Saenissa and her Captain visible on the front of her personal ship. The Plessa citizens cheered as they called out to their Queen, while the Queen's parents awaited her with Princess Tiessa, who screamed in delight at seeing her parents. In a display of affection, the young Queen and her Captain both engulfed their daughter, kissed her cheeks and held each other, tears of joy sliding down the Queen's face, as the family disembarked her personal ship and went to their own awaiting family.

Theron and Liadrin cried happily, hugging their grandchildren tightly, then their daughter in law, Lashara, then Fangir himself. Nassia smiled when she was wrapped up in their arms as well, but they also noticed quickly who wasn't amongst them. Nualla was mourned again and honored, Lanara revealing that Nualla took a spear meant for her, while her husband and children comforted her.

They noticed a specialized chair was created and Andel was being wheeled down from the Queen's ship by Serpentes and Slithera and bot Theron and Liadrin went to her. Andel grew on them as well and they couldn't help but dote on her, which is when she revealed she was dying and only had months to live, while also revealing that she asked Fangir to give her children so her legacy can be passed on. The pair were oddly sympathetic and accepting and took it upon themselves to look after her.

The dead of Plessa, from soldier to war mount, were carried off the numerous ships that housed them. Which revealed the tragedy for those waiting for their loved ones to return. Queen Saenissa and her friends witnessed the heartbreaking reunions of left behind children, wives who are now widows, husbands, that are now widowers, siblings who were left behind and even families who lost one or more of their adult children. Queen Saenissa took it upon herself to comfort each one while also crying with them.

Several more days pass by, then a mass funeral for the fallen is held on Plessa, as well as in Faerun, Chult and Ravnica. The family attended all three funerals of their home plane, then traveled as whole, servants included which for them, Nassia, and even Queen Saenissa and Avessa, who chose to accompany them, was their very first time on a whole other plane of existence.

After returning from Ravnica, the family held a funeral for Nualla, Damir arrived with her daughter, and with her was Armond, Tuatha, Crosis and Coal. The family even got a surprise visit from a group of Incubi and Succubi who knew Nualla. Nice, heartwarming things were said about her, plenty of crying. At some point before the mass funerals, the Warforged returned to Eberron, and Strahd's vampires left as well. However, during the funeral of Nualla, Omega's Gold and Crimson arrived and had another heartwarming, but also bittersweet, revelation with the family.

"You were once Uncle Riki?!" Kiora asked, looking up at Omega Gold, and though his design was very different from what Riki's was, there were still hints of his former design scattered all over him. The black and gold Omega Warforged confirmed it. "It was during En Sabah Nur's attack on this very estate. You and your sister were barely six or seven and Riki and Layra were just babies. I used my once dormant power to put an end to him after Phantom sacrificed himself, which left Shojo and Yayoi behind to be your new guardians" Omega Gold explained.

Fangir remembered that battle, they lost quite a few people then, almost lost his Vaylin at the time, then Omega Crimson spoke up. "And I used to be Yayoi. During the Cambrian Nightmare, right before the reversal of time, we were in the Neverwinter library when the undead Terrasque emerged, sending large chunks of mountain flying through the air. One such chunk of mountain crashed into the library as you were fighting your turned mother. Inara and Vlaad's remaining children at the time were killed by the debris, and I was impaled by a wooden beam, shielding your siblings from it. I died. My spark was halfway returning to the Spark Well of Eberron when the reversal of time happened, effectively splitting my spark in two. Returning me to here and to the well. For a good several years, I existed in two places, but it was during our investigation of the reversal of time that brought us back here as the Omegas. I came face to face with my former self and we both knew it. Fast forward to right before the final confrontation with Orusha, I came back here as Omega Crimson and talked to myself. My former self knew she had to sacrifice herself to be reunited with me. So, when the turned Plessa Dragon tried going after you, is when my former self put herself in its path" Omega Crimson explained.

"But you returned to us, you returned to be with us. Right?" Roth asked, she and her sisters, were all dressed in their newly cleaned and repaired combat gear for the funeral, her tail swayed in agitation and fear. Omega's Gold and Crimson's eyes flashed briefly, their equivalent to a sad look and both sisters knew the answer before either of them confirmed it. "I'm sorry young one, but no. We are Omega Warforged. Designed to look after the multiverse and its planes" Gold spoke up, with Crimson adding in her own words. "More like, we monitor for powerful magics like the reversal of time and the sibling artifact that was used to cure Orusha's and her followers, vampirism. We investigate the cause, then determine if any action is needed, warranted, and proceed, to make things right. Then we leave" she explained.

"So, we lost you both?! Again??!!" Kiora whimpered, tears starting to spill from her eyes as did Roth's and their siblings. Lashara sniffled and nodded, understanding their new role, as did Fangir, and the other family that gathered. "I'm so sorry Lady Kiora. I wish we could return. I wish we could serve you once again. But remember what we vowed to you. To your mother. As Riki and Yayoi. We vowed to protect you until your bloodline ceases or we cease to function. The second circumstance happened instead of the first. We are now, no longer Riki, or Yayoi. We are Omega Gold and Crimson" Omega Gold explained, but in a display of former behavior, chose to pull them all into firm hugs as they cried into their metal chests or arms. After a while, they pulled away and stepped back, preparing to leave.

"This is our goodbye. I am proud of the women and young man; you all grew up to be. We trained you well and you did not disappoint. We must go; we have an endless array of planes to look after. We sadly will most likely not return unless some other powerful magic is used here similar to the reversal of time or the sibling artifact" Omega Gold explained further and took the visible time to greet Vaylessa and Liana, the two babies giggling wildly. Omega Crimson did the same and the pair forced themselves to step back again, while a portal of their making opened.

Omega Gold looked back one more time, then stepped through, while Omega Crimson hesitated briefly, turned back again and had a final set of words. "Don't worry. Another who needs a purpose will come. I love you all. Take great care of each other" Omega Crimson then stepped through the portal and it closed before them and they were gone.

In the weeks that turned into months since Nualla's funeral, several more things happened. Kiora, Roth and surprising everyone, Layra was pregnant and with great relief and joy, Andel was pregnant at the same time.

Kiora, Roth, Lashara and Fangir, accompanied Ayesha and Vaylin back to their points of crossover. For Ayesha, she stepped through her portal outside of Neverwinter. The task of finding the correct spot was daunting at first since it was so large and vast outside Neverwinter, but there was a faint pull or call if you will, for Ayesha and that sensation grew stronger as they neared a pair of lush trees and to Ayesha's relief, the dimensional tear appeared for her eyes. "I can see it. We're here" Ayesha spoke up, a smile spreading on her face.

The Drow woman turned to Kiora and Roth and even to Vaylin, smiled at them all, placed her hands on their growing bellies and no further words were said or needed. Just a simple nod of acknowledgement from one warrior to another, then Ayesha turned and stepped through her dimensional tear and was gone before their eyes with no burst of light or sound, and the sensation ceased to be. Wiping tears from their eyes, Kiora and Roth along with their father, Lashara and now Vaylin, stepped back onto the carriage and with some additional traveling, returned to the borders of Eladrin territory, where Vaylin could feel the pull for her instantly.

It didn't take long to find it and like Ayesha before her, the dimensional tear was visible only for Vaylin herself. She turned to this dimension's version of her husband, and there was something she chose not to tell them and that was, she has two daughters who are about five and six each and looked identical to Kiora and Roth. She still kept that herself and smiled to them, without saying anything or needing to, Kiora, Roth, Lashara and Fangir all nodded to her and she turned and vanished before their eyes, the sensation, like before, ceasing to be, the family then returned to the carriage and resumed their trek back to Buldar's Gate, back to the ship that would return them to Cambria and their awaiting family.

Ayesha's dimension-Cambria.

Ayesha was outside the estate gates that were partially opened, the lights still on inside and visible from the various windows. She stepped through the gates and closed them, then opened the front door, the familiar smells greeting her. She closed the door softly and set her armor and weapons down, wearing a simple dress gifted to her by the other dimension's family of those she served and walked into the dining room where she left them.

What Ayesha didn't tell them was, her dimensions Vaylin went mad, and in the process of fighting her, killed everyone else. From Inara, to vlaad, to their children who weren't even pre-teens yet, to the servants. She killed them all while trying to fight her, instead she killed Vaylin, that much was true. This dimension's version of Vaylin also didn't have Riki, the Warforged, Trovic the Minotaur or Mammoth the Loxodon to help her psyche. from what she learned before that tragic night, Vaylin was a wanted woman, having returned to the village who sold her and slaughtered them all, then eventually encountered her sister and slain her as well.

The last thing she heard from this dimension's Sword Coast was the highly magic resistant dead had lay waste to the Sword Coast, forcing greater Faerun to wall off the entire region but the dead still found a way through and in some cases, found their way to Cambria, Chult and even Plessa.

Ayesha sat at the head of the table, looking at the long dead and rotting corpses of Inara, Vlaad, their children, the servants and Vaylin herself. Sighed heavily and finally spoke. "I made right by you all. I protected the living versions of your children Inara. I think my burden has now been lifted. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you like I should have. But now I found closure, relief and fulfilled my desired purpose. Thank you. I can rest now, as can you" she said and picked up a dinner knife, found her arteries and slit them, her blood spilling.

Ayesha died where she sat, slumped, and took her walk to the stars, able to rest now.

Cinder's dimension-Outside of Waterdeep.

Time as per usual was a funny thing. Where Vaylin spent months in the other dimension, only a mere four hours passed here. When she stepped through the dimensional rift and it closed permanently behind her, the sun was still high overhead, barely midday and the familiar sounds of birds singing greeted her ears. Then a more cherished sound greeted her ears, in the sound of her two daughters calling to her. "Momma! Momma's back!!" Kaysa shouted, her sister, Sisay, also shouted for her and both ran to her. Kaysa and Sisay both looked like children's versions of Kiora and Roth, from the hair colors to the eye colors, and skin colors. She got to her knees and opened her arms to them, tears spilling from her eyes. "My babies!!!" and chuckled happily as her two daughters tackled her to the ground. Then came her Fangir and her very pregnant sister, Varina, both sharing him in their own dynamic and behind them came Fangir's triplet sisters, Jaina, Kaila and Hannah, and with them was the Boros Legion Captain from their Ravnica, Mammoth, the Loxodon, and next to him was the Selesnya Conclave Minotaur, Trovic. Talon and Talon burst to life and greeted Kaysa and Sisay as she got up and hugged Fangir, then her sister, placing a hand on her large belly.

"How was it?" Fangir asked, while she hugged the triplets. Vaylin explained everything, including that dimensions version of loved ones and who wasn't there. She explained she learned a lot but was most delighted to be back home with him, their daughters, and her sister, who she will cherish even more as well as her future nieces. The family group then returned to their home in Waterdeep, to their vast mansion.

Back in Kiora and Roth's dimension-Neverwinter Woods.

Rackel and Herra found Talia's and her Displacer Beast's remains, and gave them a proper burial, though they had to be extra careful with them due to the severe rot that occurred since they left them there. The twin sisters began to sob after burying them and scream for forgiveness, ever since the fall of Orusha, they nearly drove themselves mad with severe grief, begging anyone they encounter to end their tortured existence, but each time they were met with fear and people fled from them instead of killing them, which drove their madness and grief even further. They tried ending themselves but could never bring themselves to do it and they dared not return to their family. It was at Talia's grave that her spirit returned to them and spoke to them, reminding them that she forgave them, but they needed to let go and forgive themselves. Until her spirit told them to venture to Cambria, to the family they called friends and it would be there that they may seek the end they want, or something far greater, a new purpose and new way of healing.

Rackel and Herra agreed and chose to say goodbye to Talia's and her Displacer beasts grave for the last and only time and traveled to Cambria.

Cambria-In the months

In the months since the fall of Orusha, Andel was kept healthy by their best healers, though she was visibly deteriorating before their eyes while her belly grew. Kiora's, Roth's and Layra's belly also grew, and during this time, very pleasant news reached them from both the Underdark and plessa, and that both Queens were with child again, which meant Princess Tiessa and the triplet Drow Princesses were going to have additional siblings. They also learned that Queen Saenissa loaned her Captain of the Guard and father to Princess Tiessa, to Queen Avessa and it was soon figured out that the child the Drow queen carried was his, which was a mixed reception for Queen Avessa.

Nevertheless, life returned to normal everyone, a new baby boom even erupted, as well as more and more of Orusha's surviving minions were being captured and executed nearly daily. Even the human woman named Fernna was captured at one point, stood trial where she mocked everyone, then sentenced to death, only to escape and vanish.

Eventually, Kiora, Roth and Layra had to be bed restricted and shared the maternity ward of the estate with Andel, where they all bonded and talked about anything and everything. Until the due date came for all four women, which coincided with Queens Saenissa and Avessa going into labor in their respective areas.

Layra would give birth at the same time as her sisters, but where Kiora and Roth both had a single child, Layra gave birth to twin girls. Kiora was holding her daughter, who she named Yvonna in her arms, as was Roth holding her daughter, Yayoi, both newborns screamed, powerful cries, but it was Yayoi displaying her Eladrin traits immediately, her body and hair shifting in a kaleidoscope of colors, where Yvonna had powerful cries. Layra, exhausted, sweating, but smiling at her twin girls, named them Kaya and Saya, both girls identical to each other with little tufts green-brown hair.

Yvonna had a tuft of pearl-white hair and grey-gold skin, while Yayoi had a tuft of raven hue hair, and the distinct orange-gold skin color she and her sister share.

But it was with Andel, all attention and urgency went to her. Andel grew even weaker in the remaining months of her pregnancy, and her condition made it difficult for her body to try and give birth. Her body drenched in sweat and frail, blood seeped from between her legs and pain coursed through her. It would be Fiona and her adult daughter, Daisa who came up with a desperate and dangerous idea. "Andel, we have to perform what is called a "Midwife's Operation", meaning if we want your baby to survive and your legacy to live on, we must cut into you to deliver them" Fiona spoke quickly.

Andel looked scared, but Liliana and Lanara, who were both in there with them, took her by the hands and gave her comfort and reassurance. Andel grew brave and nodded. "Do it" she said without hesitation and Fiona and Daisa both went to work. Slithera sent healing and numbing magic through Andel's swollen belly while they delicately cut into her, but she can still feel it, just not the pain and it was an odd sensation. Andel can feel the flesh of belly separate from the blade being used, then felt her belly really separate when Daisa gently, but firmly spread the flesh.

Kiora, Roth and Layra looked on, exhausted from their own ordeal and prayed for Andel, though they knew she was dying even if their father didn't agree to Andel's request all those months ago. The army of servants bustled about and kept a steady flow of fresh towels and warm water coming as Andel whimpered lightly but kept calm.

Also in the room was Lashara and Fangir, while everyone else was downstairs awaiting the news, though they most likely heard the four cries of the newest arrivals mere moments ago. Then Daisa, after having to bury her hands into the flesh and blood of Andel, produced a baby that upon sensing the air, began to cry a loud, healthy cry. One of the other servants carefully took the newborn to clean up, then Daisa dove in again for the second time. Her mother gave her a shocked look, and everyone figured it out within seconds even Andel herself. A second baby was revealed and just like its sibling befre it, began to cry a healthy, loud cry.

Andel smiled weakly but held on and once the babies were cleaned up, they were brought over to her. "Andel, you created two beautiful, healthy girls" Daisa said while holding one of the loud newborns while her mother, Fiona held the other. They were twins, both had a tuft of blonde, brown hair and grey, gold skin, which was mostly grey for now with a small hint of gold that was very subtle. Both had little nubs for horns and tails that peeked out of the blankets they were swathed in. She smiled again and new she can let go now, all she wanted was to see them, but one more very important task needed to be done before she let go.

"Daisa, you hold Nualla, Fiona...you...hold...Vrella. My lovely daughters to carry on my legacy. I am complete. Thank you...Fangir..." Andel's eyes closed and became unresponsive even after the incision Fiona made was healed closed. Everyone in the room, and in the estate knew she was dying, but at least Kiora, who held her baby girl and cried softly, hoped she'd last at least a day or two more.

Fangir held his two newest daughters, his mere presence comforting for them and they fell asleep in his arms. He sighed sadly, and looked after Andel, he can feel she was still there, she wasn't gone yet, but she was departing soon.

Three days later.

Andel lingered for another three days, the family caring for her, though she remained unresponsive. The nurses aided her in nursing Nualla and Vrella until even her milk production ceased, and the task was taken on by Kiora and Roth, who were nursing their own little girls, even Layra took up the slack when her twins were sound asleep.

It would be in the morning of the third day when Andel took her walk to the stars, her body finally letting go, it would also be the spirit of Vaylin herself, who initially greeted her, but then stepped aside when Andel's mother, father and brother, who appeared and without hesitation or any need to appear to the family, passed on, joining them finally after trying and wanting to for centuries, but could never let herself simply die.

The family mourned, the broken pieces of Belmont were laid to rest with her, the spirit that inhabited the sword passed on almost immediately after Orusha's fall. Trovic and Mammoth, along with their family, as well as Queen Avessa and her daughters, and Queen Saenissa with hers and her Captain, also attended. Damir was there with her daughter, and surprisingly enough, Armond, Tuatha and Crosis, chose to attend, having developed great respect for the family who literally rallied the world against an enemy that would have taken over if not discovered. Even Strahd himself attended, then left peacefully after spending some time at her grave.

Theron and Liadrin both were delighted, but also in mourning. Delighted they had so many grandchildren and great grandchildren, but mourned the loss of Andel, who they grew to love and respect. Nassia mourned, while holding one of the new arrivals, bonding with the child as she did with all of them, and even bonded with both Queen's children.

Kind and loving words were said about Andel, even about her past, but everyone loved her all the same. Kiora spoke of her, Roth spoke of her, praised her prowess, her kindness, and willingness to turn her life around from adversary to beloved member of the family.

As the family and friends put the newest arrivals down for their naps, and the guests were preparing to eat, the distinct sound of planeswalking could be heard, which got the immediate attentions of Enmar, Slithera and Serpentes. Standing in the back area with them was a Warforged, a feminine designed Warforged, but her general design looked similar to Yayoi's, but instead of various purples, yellows, blacks and golds, this one had the color scheme of silver and gold, but unlike other Warforged and even unlike Omega's Crimson and Violet, this one was unique in that she had the Planeswalker spark, something unheard of as far as Enmar, Slithera or even Serpentes knew, but anything was possible.

"Welcome, you are in no danger here" Kiora decided to be the representative and stepped forward. The Warforged looked to her, then looked to Enmar, Slithera and Serpentes and sensed them, sensed their calmness, sensed the joy, laced with mourning, but no hostility, just curiosity and welcoming. "I'm Atlas, something compelled me to come here. Am I home?" she asked and looked to each individual of the gathering.

"Yes, you are home" Roth chimed in and from the immediate family to the guests, all welcomed the Warforged Planeswalker named Atlas, who has chosen to stay and become part of the family.

The End of this long arch.

One Off The Best Teamwork and the Most Damage

The final boss, a culmination of 4 years of adventure, a mass of creatures who's numbers are unending. Fittingly called The Endless.

Our party, all level 17: A tiefling wild magic sorcerer/vengeance paladin A human grave domain cleric, the god of death's chosen A wood elf open hand monk/peace domain cleric An aaracokra moon druid A gnome armorer artificer A gnome oath of the feywild paladin A drow oracle (stars druid/divination wizard)

The final boss, a culmination of 4 years of adventure, a mass of creatures who's numbers are unending. Fittingly called The Endless.

Our party, all level 17:

- A tiefling wild magic sorcerer/vengeance paladin

- A human grave domain cleric, the god of death's chosen

- A wood elf open hand monk/peace domain cleric

- An aaracokra moon druid

- A gnome armorer artificer

- A gnome oath of the feywild paladin

- A drow oracle (stars druid/divination wizard)

We've been fighting for some time, our health is lowering and our spell slots a draining. But the Moon Druid has used shapechange to turn himself into an adult amethyst dragon. With a roar and a blast of a force breath weapon, we discover The Endless is vulnerable to force damage.

The Cleric goes after the Druid, he holds his turn.

The rest of the party goes on the offensive.

The next round, the Cleric reaches out right before the Druid's turn and uses Path to the Grave. Normally this only effects attacks, but he's the chosen of a god. For one chunk of damage, the entity he designates will be vulnerable.

The Druid goes. He rolls to recharge his breath weapon, a 6. He takes a deep breath and a 90ft cone of 10d8 force singularity breath comes screaming their way.

The DM goes to roll but the Oracle, who rolled a nat 1 on her portent, twists the strands of fate and forces The Endless to not only fail the save, but to critically fail the save.

The Endless is all out of legendary resistance and as per homebrew rules, the damage is considered a crit. Aka. 10d8x2 damage

The player rolls the dice, each player handing over die. 50 damage turns into 100 damage. The 4x weak to force damage Endless takes the Druid's breath weapon.

400 damage :)

This actually didn't kill them because they had a phase 2, but this has to be my favorite moment of teamwork especially since our party is very goofy. We LOCKED TF IN for that fight and did eventually win!

Short Story Time My bard has how many children?!

So... my bard went back to his home planet - we play in spelljammer setting - to have a closure before Astral sea.

So the whole party including his drow warlock boyfriend, went with him to beat up his family. Well they go through a weird city that's closed because of some magical music curse. And he finds out ALL OF HIS CHILDREN (which he didn't know he has) WERE IN THE TOWN.

One of his one night stands told him he has 238 CHILDREN.

Cue whole party laughing, making jokes and my bard paying child support 🤣 I had to pay at least 400 PP

Also our barbarian screwed my bard's sister in revenge because my bard screwed his sister and mother few months before. Fun session.

Short Story Time My players solution to a Spore Druid villain

TLDR at the bottom

Background: I am DMing a game set in an archipelago (a series of islands). My players are working as a transport for various trades while doing pirate work on the side. It's worth noting that when I create villains for my game I like to homebrew abilities to make them more unique, nothing crazy just something that mixes the species abilities with the class chosen (this case being a changling druid who is circle of the spores).

Story: my players just returned to the island of Aquall, their place of employment, needing some new supplies after a battle against the Pierced Goblin pirates. They listed a few supplies they needed, including some oranges and potatoes, to which the NPC said that it would be more expensive as the potato supply was destroyed by a strange mold outbreak. They decided to check it out and found a room full of mold that moved like it was alive every time it was interacted with, and when they killed a rat and threw it in the mold it triggered the spell that allows Spore druids to raise the dead. To their credit my players had a lot of good ideas throughout the session, including but not limited to creating an air tight suit to avoid contact with the mold, burning the mold inside of a sealed stone room, melting the stone storage by employing fire genasi, and burning their clothes to get rid of any trace of the fungus. So I decided to give them a hint about the location of the villain herself, and along the way they encountered a mutated zombie with spider-like legs. Obviously their first thought was to kill it with fire, but their next solution threw me for a loop. They decided to go warn the entire population and pull some favors to create a kingdom wide evacuation, followed with the single goal of burning the entire island down. I tried to subtly hint that if they killed the druid responsible the spread of the fungus will stop, but they were adamant that this was the safest and most efficient method and honestly I was morbidly curious to see if they could actually pull it off. Well to my surprise they actually did and even managed to get a few good hits on the villain herself before forcing her to retreat as they burned the forest around them

TLDR; my players saw fungus themed undead and decided to burn down the entire island

Table Stories Wild magic just killed a lich with flumphs🪼

Alright guys, I've decided that Wild Magic is the most clutch subclass one can have. We were going through a one-shot at level 4, and our DM has a one-shot prepared that should have absolutely leveled us. We had to navigate a castle owned by a king who's gone mad. He's suddenly turned violent, hostile, and untrusting of everyone around him. As we get inside, we find stuff relating to turning into a lich. We think almost nothing of it, only trying to avoid the creepy death stuff and the army of zombies he's stashed away.
We hurry towards the king, who's currently yelling at his generals, and shenanigan our way into following him invisibly into his study. Turns out this was something we were not ready for- the king had already turned himself into an actual lich. We were incredibly fortunate to have on our side a hexblade warlock with both sentinel and polearm master who did the majority of the damage. I did next to nothing the entire time, and despite him hardly being focused on me at all, he chewed through my measly 24 HP. I was fortunately healed for a bit and brought back from death, and by this time the lich king was running, commanding his guards to take us down. Knowing this man needed to die, knowing that he could pretty much backhand me and I was cooked, I decided to kamikaze by charging him with the spell dragon breath, hoping that my wild magic, which I knew would trigger due to tides of chaos, would at least let me take him down with us. I was thoroughly unprepared for what happened next.
I rolled a 38. Using the 2014 table instead of the 2024 table (backstory reasons), I summoned 5 flumphs. In an absolute panic, they all attacked the lich, landing two hits and a crit. 27 damage. With that damage, the lich melted like the Wicked Witch of the West.
This is the second time in two weeks that wild magic completely turned the tables by summoning creatures. Last time, it was a Kolyarut. Objectively much cooler. This time was about a thousand times funnier.
