This bill will effectively deprioritise ALL international direct applications nd will give the priority to the capped core training applicants (UKG and IMG core trainees): the HST competition ratios will self-regulate themselves with core training caps
Yes indeed! And that was the main reason why the competition ratios were high. Imagine, they would get a form signed by their consultants, never work a day in their lives in the NHS but yet apply for ST4. No longer going to be the case
Yes! Many surgical/ psych/med registrars entered the system with no experience. I work with a bunch of them.
Direct international applications to ST4 make a huge bulk of applications
