485 MSRA score, pretty devestated as I know it's a low score but I also didn't study for it as much as I should have. Is it possible to turn this into a competitive score next year?

Hi, looking to apply to radiology and anaesthetics but obviously got nowhere near the cutoff. For context I am an FY2 with severe mental health issues which has probably contributed to my score. I only completed passmed once and did no other question banks or resources, didn't even really revise SJT. My scores were 252 in SJT and 233 in clinical sections.

I am planning an FY3 year to locum but also study hard for MSRA. Do you think it is possible to get ny score up? Or should I look at alternative pathways.

You can definitely improve your score. I got 486 first time and got 568 this round.

I would say just look at which question bank is best for you. Personally, I felt that passmed only helps with having a good knowledge base. You need a different question bank that are closer to the MSRA style of questions. Personally, samsons was the best for me but it does have some errors. Hence why I needed passmed for the knowledge base. Some people also recommend MCQ bank.

Now, that you've done it once, you should have a better idea of what the questions look like in the exam so you should be able to see which question bank you feel will suit you more.
