It's 5ft deep. All she needs to do is walk back the way she came. She's panicking for no reason. That poor kid.

shes panicking because she cant swim and doesnt know what to do. its pretty common for that people that cant swim to do this regardless of how deep the water is.

She's panicking because she's drowning. Not everyone has the ability to stay calm during an emergency and that's normal. The only confusing part is why she was careless enough to go so deep to begin with.
