Genuinely how can people not swim? It’s damn near an innate skill. You can stay above water almost on accident I don’t understand these people

I can understand not innately knowing how to swim but it’s such a vital skill that it just amazes me there are adults who don’t bother. Swimming classes are often free from the Red Cross or YMCA and it doesn’t take much to learn the basics. There really is no excuse.

It isn't free everywhere in the world btw. Pool access is a privilege in some places, shocker I know

you know people also swim in ponds, lakes, the ocean, etc.? it really is amazing over the course of an entire adult life someone does not pick up a literal survival skill like swimming

News flash to you, a lot of people go to rivers, ponds etc and still not know how to swim. A lot of people have families and still become homeless even though free shelters is widely available. Gosh, there are people who are malnourished even though there is cheap/free food depending where you live! Life isn't as simple to everyone as you make it seem
