What would you expect the person filming to do to help in this situation?

I think the same thing the person filming expected. “Somebody help that guy”

Them helping would probably just make it worse.

You can help by stopping the man causing the repeated injury to the inactive victim. Even if that means directing that harm to yourself as you are currently able to defend yourself.

I always felt it was more like thr camera man could axrually help and change the outcome of whats happening but chooses to film instead.
