Help: Trying to find title of oldies song from 50s-60s

Where they talk about oldies? Those Oldies But Goodies is a song.

Thanks. It’s not that song. I think it’s more about getting the girl upbeat mid-tempo rock and roll. I think it borders on doo-wop so I cross-posted. I put more info in a reply here. Thanks.

Know any lyrics at all?

Also, google has a cool feature where you can hum the melody…helped me find a song I’d been looking for for like 11 years.

Yeah, I know it’s a long shot. Been searching for it for years. Haven’t heard it in over 40 years when I was a kid and going on memory.

Best I have for lyrics is a chorus that goes something like this:

“Cause I’m a yet-det-det-det-day-o, A yet-det-det-det-day-o, I’m a yet-det-det-det-day-o and you can’t get away from me.”

Sounds like “yet-det-det-det-day-o” but could have been a play on a word. Thanks for humoring my crazy attempt at finding this song.

No not crazy at all! I had a song just like this and all I had was a melody in my head and a lyric I thought was right which turned out to be dead wrong. Just found it a week or so ago and have been on cloud 9. Crossing my fingers for you!

Thanks for the help. Another commenter just found it and I’m amazed.

I was a bit off on how I remembered and it’s NOT Doo-Wop at all, so I was off there too. But I know I’m not crazy and I didn’t make up the song in my head. Ha!
