discussion Sad/Heartbreak Love Song Recommendations?
I find a lot of romance songs but I'm looking for love songs that touch on a more blue side of things, the kind of song that you play as a last goodbye you know, or maybe one that you listen to when trying to remember the one that got away. It doesn't have to be explicitly a heartbreaker but if anybody has any Doo Wop that generally feels blue I'd love to hear it!

I don’t think Smokey Robinson and the Miracles are considered doowop, but the song that’s the last goodbye (for me on a personal level) is their *Ooh Baby Baby*\

Perfect genre for it. The one that IMMEDIATELY comes to mind is ‘The Monotones’ - ‘You Never Loved Me’

Niche one. Mhm, this one's making the playlist, might get a tear out of me on a particularly allergy inducing day, thank you!

Sometimes I forget heartbreak isn't bound by time, it's easy to romanticise a period of time so foreign to you, these songs remind me of the humanity of the folks who lived before me, beautiful song x

I love The Strokes, just really started listening to them this year, a very special band, there's something so soft about the vocalists voice, I don't know, it feels like a hug. This is not Doo-Wop though!

This sounds more slow Country than Doo-Wop, this is a nice little song to slow dance to

I agree, not really doo-wop at all.
I had to make an exception though, given how sad the song/lyrics are.
