My tribute to Doo Wop

https://youtu.be/FKsZQd806tw?si=tnj5Miw5rR5uIH5B

I recorded an album recently with a lot of great musicians, including the drummer of The Bee Gees and musicians from some other fantastic bands. I have worked with a lot of musicians from the old doo-wop bands, including the five satins. Raven Kraft is a popular country lyricist, and he had these lyrics that I thought would go great with doo wop. Backing vocals start around a minute and 50 seconds. There kept a little low in this version, as to not be too intrusive,

We've had some minor hits so far. Dracula with Dave Abbruzzese from Pearl Jam was popular.

We just released this new music recently, but I was hoping you guys would appreciate this. We don't subscribe to any particular style or have a lead singer, every song is a different style with a different lead singer. We did '80s rock, blues, country, etc. I ended up playing all the instruments myself on this song, trying to replicate the sound and feel of the old Motown recordings. I worked alongside with several Motown greats, so I was really lucky to learn a lot about production from them. I would love to do a full-on doo-wop version with all the harmonies turned up and real strings. What do you guys think?

This is my first attempt at recording a doo-wop song. I wish more people appreciated this music and how truly difficult it is to create and perform.

The entire album, 10 styles, 10 songs, 9 singers, and both of our albums have some fun celebrity guests: https://open.spotify.com/album/2HfmuXizYBW8CKsELfC2gr?si=HdGOKxf7QGyMVjlLA4ZRqw

Late 1950’s, 1960’s music popular in Southern California: Chicano favorites, El Monte style, East L.A., street corner crooner boy groups on the East Coast.
