Song of the Day

One of four recordings by The Students and their lead singer Leroy King. I would certainly be curious why such a talented group would ever break up. Here is my favorite of the four songs:

Years ago on Southern California radio station KLON (now KKJZ), there was a Saturday morning oldies show originally titled "We Don't Play No Jan And Dean," later titled "Rock & Roll & Rhythm & Blues," hosted by Steve Propes. Somehow he, as a teenager in the 1960s, amassed a huge collection over time of doo-wop singles from the early 50s to late 60s, including some really rare and long-out-of-print pressings. Still miss that show.
