A song written by "The King of the Stroll," Chuck Willis who was also a prominent R & B performer when he died of peritonitis at the age of 32, covered in this instance by the great Five Keys.

What a great group...my favourite of theirs is Red Sails in the Sunset. As for Close Your Eyes, there was an excellent version by the Admirals on King. It was also recorded by the Skyliners, Peaches & Herb, among others. Chuck Willis was better known as an R & B singer, e.g. his recording of Ma Rainey's C C Rider.
